I was wondering when somesone talks "$1,500" per acre for a signing bonus, do they mean per year or is it $1,500 for the total number of years on a gas and oil lease? For example: a 3 years lease would be $500 per acre per year? I have had a few locals state you should receive some where between $1,000 to $800 per acre with a 25% royalty.

Julia, the lease bonus is a one-time, up-front payment for executing the lease regardless of the term. You should join the appropriate E. TX . Group/County and interact with the members who have minerals in that specific location in order to get an idea of the current lease offers.
