what do you mean by "buying out leases"? Is Ckp Chesapeake?
I thought he must be referring to lease assignments. I haven't looked in the last month or two.
if it is Chesapeake we are talking about then I haven't seen any assignments up to mid-september. It does sound like things are picking up however.......lots of land to hold.
Didn't know the terminology for sure, but what I was referring to was that Range submitted a W-1 several weeks ago for a unit just north of me. I now see that Chesapeake has a permit for the same unit. I'm leased with different company and they have less than a year to do something, no extension. I do know that there is a 12 inch pipeline starting just SE of us going south. I understand the Hall well by Endeavor is going to tie into it. Chesapeake also has two wells on Nine Mile Road north of us, plus the well mention above just across the fence.
Fred, Range submitted those permits a year ago this month. Chesapeake is now the operator on those permits. If they have assignments, from Range, they may not be filed in the county yet. I think it is a reasonable assumption, though, that they have some sort of agreement in place to develop the USA acreage under lease to Range, given the change in operator on those permits.
Thank you for info. I'm learning my way, just interested in Northern Sabine Cty. because of mineral interest there.
Fred, ask away... the only dumb question is the one not asked! And, be sure to join the county groups that are of interest to you.
