Our property leased by EOG with Lease to expire Jan/2013 and there is activity by CHK on every corner of our 2700 block that my neighbors and I have leased to EOG and we are wondering when they will be coming to see us. I recently pulled this data off of the RRC website of the first well located 330' from our lease line heading of course the opposite direction of our acreage but they have 10 wells permitted on the neighboring land ShiningStar Ranch and several permitted on the Meiners Ranch across the Farm to market road from us. Goodrich Petroleum is also active in the area on the Burns Ranch which lies within 1/2 mile of our property.
Here is the data from the first production well that sits on our fence line:
RRC identifier 15346
Oil production month of January 36396 I think it went online about January 10th or so??
Gas production for month 16866 mcf
In looking at this it looks to be a great well but just want confirmation from somone that knows much more than I do, Mark P you seem to be very knowledgeable in these well logs so can you give some assistance and anyones opinion of what might happen with our lease expiring January 2013 with option to extend-will EOG produce, sell it to CHK who has the infrastructure in place-ie pipeline HS2 facilities etc.
Thanks for any feedback,

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
