Yesterday, I posted the message below and received 2 replies. Thank you very much for your replies. However, one of the replies indicated that I should join the Claiborne Parish group and read the discussions. I thought I had joined the Claiborne Parish group and that I was posting in the Claiborne Parish group, but I guess it was posted in another area of the site. So I am now posting it again, hopefully in the correct section of the site for Claiborne Parish. My apologies if you are having to read this twice.

If anyone can help with this, I would appreciate it.

My sister, two aunts, and I own 80 acres of undivided property in Claiborne Parish:

Section 3, Township 22 North Range 8 West, Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter and

Section 34 Township 23 North, Range 8 West, Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter.

We have received an offer for $300 per net mineral acre, a 1/5 royalty, and a 4-year paid up term.

I am not sure if this is the going offer. Can anyone advise us about this and also can anyone recommend a good lawyer who would look over the lease for a reasonable fee. None of us live in Louisiana any more.

Sandra, you are posting to the Main Page again.  I gave you a link to the Claiborne Parish Group, along with an attorney recommendation, in your first discussion.  Go back to that reply and click on the link to the Claiborne Group and post your discussion there.
