Did you read fine print?  Enough said?  I would think a lease might be worth that much, almost anywhere.

I don't think we can mention Cobra too much.  All the members should be aware that this is a deceptive attempt to buy their mineral rights.  Besides a check, there is also a mineral deed included.  Do Not Sign It! The trash can is the correct receptacle.  I have had a number of discussions with a local television news producer about an expose on Cobra.  It's just hard to find anyone who has taken their offer who is willing to be interviewed.  I understand that reluctance.  freddie, Cobra wouldn't know a horizontal from a vertical well much less what development activity is occurring in your township.  Their business model is to send huge numbers of offers with no mineral research with the knowledge that some minor percentage of recipients  will fall for their offer.
