"MANSFIELD -- Pinnergy Ltd. has made a pitch to DeSoto police jurors to buy 12 acres at West Industrial District to accommodate its oil and gas services business.

The Austin, Texas-based company proposes creating an operations facility and notes in a letter to the Police Jury that a permit to operate an oil and gas disposal well on the site is required. About 50 to 100 employees would be based there.

The Police Jury sells property at the industrial park on U.S. Highway 171 north of Mansfield for $6,000 an acre. The Buildings and Properties Committee took no action on the request Monday. Police jurors may consider it Monday."
