Could someone please tell me the current proven boundaries of the Haynesville Shale? I guess what I am asking is where are the most northern, southern, eastern, and western wells in the haynesville shale. I think this would give everyone a clearer picture of how the play is going and how it relates to each ones' personal property. Thanks in advance for the info and I hope everyone has a great day!

Bruce, I posted the following a few days ago in another forum. The wells listed should give an idea of the minimum proven area.

Some maps are definitely outdated since they do not even cover areas with known successful wells. To check spot the following wells on the map:

Goodrich/Matador, E&L Dev 15 #1 Well, Serial #237178, S15-T19N-R15W
Southern Star, AS Burt 20 #1 Well, Serial #238938, S20-T19N-R13W
EnCana, Charles H Goben #1 Well, Serial #236929, S19-T13N-R8W
EnCana, Janet Messenger # Well, Serial #237289, S8-T10N-R9W
Shell, Olympia Mills 26 #1 Well, Serial #236842, S26-T9N-R12W
Cabot?, TGU 1-101 # Well, Nacogdoches County
Penn Virginia, Fogle #5H Well, Serial #654152, Harrison County

The HS/BS play may be larger but at minimum it covers the above wells.
Diamond oil from Casper Wy. just had a Haynesville penetration in sec 11 twn 19 n rg 11 w. The well is off hwy 528 in the bellevue oilfield. All structure in the field is about 2000 feet higher because of the salt dome that created the Bellevue field. The well was drilled to 8775 but it penetrated the cotton valley and the Haynesville with good pressures in both. They lost circulation three or four times while drilling because of all the faulting caused by the salt dome. Well oxy 11-1 serial no 238690.
Thanks Les for posting this, I guess I missed it the first time in the other post. I appreciate your work in locating this info for everybody, thanks.
I think Diamond Oil company from Casper wy. just had a Haynesville Penetration in sec 11 twn 19n r 11w in the Bellevue Oilfield off hwy 528 well Oxy 11 No 1 serial no. 238690
Wlt, thanks for the post. The wells I listed have information released that confirmed success in the Haynesville Shale. Other wells may have penetrated the HS but no information is available.

Regarding the Oxy 11, it is unclear if the target was Haynesville Sand or Haynesville Shale. The drilled depth of 8479' is much shallower than the other Haynesville Shale wells in NW Louisiana.
Salt dome in the area that pushed the Nacotach to 400 feet pushed all zones in the area up about 2000 feet. This created the Bellevue field. Info I have says its a Haynesville shale penetration. Also well was permitted as a Hayesville shale well, I guess Diamond did their homework. Diamond is an independent company that probably does not want the info released. They are currently drilling a well in section 35 twn 19n r11w to 11500 ft
Thanks Wlt for the info. I live in Webster just east of Minden (sec 31 twn 19 r 8w) and the wells are getting closer! If you hear anymore please post it, I'm all ears. Thanks.
