Drilling Talk

Encana is in drilling a well on my property.  When they hit a certain depth they posted "angle off set plug" on the drilling report.  Does anyone know what that means?  There has been no activity reported on the will since that phrase was posted.  The well is in 31-13N-8W.

They can't steer, they went off the wrong direction drilling the lateral, So you set a plug, pull back up hole and try again.

There is a reserve pit inspection from 9-20-2010 that states the pit is still active, is the rig still on location?

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
