The well is drilled but not completed.
Is DSCC #1 producing or did they just close it up? They took the trailer away like nothing is going on there.
Peggy, I don't know what trailer you are referring to but it is common for the well pad to sit empty with no activity after the well is drilled but before it is completed (fraced). The state database lists the well as waiting on completion.
Skip, What struck me as peculiar was all of the permitted perforations and re-perforations, August through November, but I have no idea of what work was actually performed. I guess that what I'm asking is do they typically follow permits to the T (4 dry, so keep trying)? How about an educated guess; please?

Also wondering if all of that seismic blasting killed #2?
My comments above are in regard to the DSCC #1 (the subject of this discussion thread). I haven't looked at the Davidson Bucket #2. Perforations are not "permitted". The operator makes as many as they see fit, wherever they see fit. I've never heard of seismic killing a well. Best guess is that the Davidson Buckle #2 is depleted and the rework serves as "operations" which hold the leases in force until the operations, and hopefully eventual production, of the DSCC #1 serves to do so.
Thanks Skip. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
An industry contact told me the well was a bust.
None of the pics support anything beyond the stimulation ops. If the well is productive it will be turned to sales and there will be a state allowable test.
There is nothing in the pics that tells me anything about the status of the well.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
