I don't know if their website is being hi-jacked. It souldn't ever been born it cost alot of people $$$. I know alot of people that turned down 15k because they belived the group would get them more. Right now they got zero and no offers and probally the reason chk has not drilled their other units in this area.
The Haughton area was never a priority for Chesapeake as indicated by their unit orders for only three sections. That's only one more than Petrohawk and BEUSA. The operator with the majority of the units formed in the Haughton area is Samson Contour with eighteen. Mineral owner groups seemed to be the preferred means to get leased in the early days of the Play. Unfortunately many were poorly organized and lead by individuals with little or no experience in leasing negotiations. I was not aware that the East 80 Coalition turned down a $15K bonus offer. That was an expensive mistake. However, IMO the actions of the Coalition are not the reason for a lack of drilling in the Haughton area. It's the quality of the rock.
Skip, East 80 did not get an offer for 15k. All unleased landowners were offered 15k in august of 2008 in 18n 12w secection 13. I know of several people who turned it down because they were in the group. I agree the quality of the rock is not as good as the sweet spots, however the congers well ain't bad when you consider the chock size. But the large number of unleased acreage most likley plays a big part of the decision making. Chk did attempt to get more acreage after the leaseing bust but for the most part was unsucessful.
the CHK prescott well on Swan lake road is as about as crappy as they come for a HA well. This may have scared CHK from the fringe back into the core.
East 80 Web site was in fact Hijacked and we are getting another site back up and running and will put out the information as soon as we are back up in running this upcoming week.

Catfish, if it cost you money then so be it. We are not all about the money here but it does play a part. It wasnt about us getting them more but rather a community sticking together for a better lease than the bogus lease they were offering with better protections. That bonus money doesnt mean much when you are having to have deeper wells drilled for water and the lease that the people were being offered did only that give money and strip the land owner of most if not all their say in the production of thier minerals. Thank you for your reply and we are still alive and well.

As far as a lack of drilling when you have leases expiring on a monthly basis because you spread yourself to thin. They are playing catch up and that is from reliable sources!!!

Also, the well on Swan lake road is not as bad as you may think the wells in areas around unleased areas are choked back if you are looking at the minearl board numbers.

Also, I dont know if any of you are aware of the recent news posted in New Orleans by PetroHawk but there is more to the companies than leasing the Haynesville Shale that is their way of getting everything in between. The Bossier Shale as PetroHawk stated it, is approx 500 feet above the Haynesville Shale is a higher gas yiedler than the haynesville shale. I am currently not at my personal computer but will post the link to the article tomorrow evening.

I am not blaming this on any oil company. It was someone in the UK that was sold the name due to our domain company mistake and now we are with out recourse due to some information unbeknown to us. However we will be getting our site back up and running just have to do things a little differently now but will get everyone we can contact the new address as soon as it is up and running. Please let everyone you know about the problem and that we will get the information out as soon as possible. Thank you.
Eric,
At least you now have the info about what Chesapeake pays its mineral owners for their gas. You, unlike a few hundred thousand people who signed leases with them, know to protect yourselves if you deal with them.
The Bossier will be even worse than the Haynesville in your neck of the woods.
The last Haynesville Unit application in 18N - 12W was June 2009. There has never been a Haynesville well permitted for that section/unit. Development interest has moved on, farther south and southwest.
It's a shame Skip, but I agree completely, it looks like everything north of 17 will be dead for the foreseeable future, it will take 10.00 plus gas to even make it halfway attractive.
Well I see that you do not stay up with Sonris. There is, in fact a well finished here in T18-R12-Sec15. There ARE SHUTIN royalties currently being paid so as production is not to be reported yet. The well is not shut-in/plugged. However the production is being halted until the H2S cookers are in place for production transport. The tank batteries are in and the well head is in place the pipeline is in place and they are working consistantly on the H2S cooker. I have not seen the production reports since last month to see if all is done and transporting. Further more the calculations on the Swan Lake well are 10mill plus feet of gas and is choked considerably. So the theory of nothing above 17 is hog wash further more the well in T19 R11 that Diamond Drilling has, well lets just say the cubic feet numbers are being reported extremely well to the point they are keeping all people out of the tech trailers except for the Diamond Drilling personnel and not rolling production until several other wells are finished in the area. So that is to the northwest of T18 and to the Far north East of T19 and then Everything South east and west of T18 R11 and R12 and T19 R 11 and 12. So I find it hard to believe that those are not attractive. however in the eyes of the landmen it is not very attractive because we are sticking together and not excepting the lease Samson or Chesapeake have to offer through thier landmen. Furthermore, Chesapeake and Samson Contour work together and that is why Twincities and RedRiver landmen were leasing for Chesapeake in both of those townships and ranges and then unitizations were requested by both through out the areas Chesapeake was leasing two years ago.
The well on Swan Lake is terrible, there is absolutely zero leasing going on in the area. I live down the street from it. I don't know where you are getting your information but it just isn't true.
