Ellis County

Chesapeake Operating will drill the Phillips Well No. 2H to 9,000 feet 15.9 miles northwest of Waxahachie in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field in the C.L. Dodson Survey, A-292.


Harrison County

EnerVest Operating will drill the Hart Gas Unit Well No. 10 and the Jennifer Stewart Gas Unit Well No. 12 four miles west of Hallsville in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The No. 10 will hit 11,000 feet in the M. Berry Survey, A-75 and the No. 12 well will hit 11,500 feet in the E.M. Wilder Survey, A-774.


Panola County

Conquest Energy will drill Jewell Cassity Well No. 2, 1.5 miles south of Pinehill in Southeast Pinehill (Upper Pettit) in the B.A. Vansickle Survey, A-696. It may be drilled in a wildcat field, the Pinehill (Travis Peak-C-) Field or the Southeast Pinehill (Lower Pettit) Field.


Anadarko E&P will drill the L.T. Poss Unit Well No. 14 to 12,000 feet 5.8 miles southeast of Carthage, in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. It is in the W. Anderson Survey, A-4.


Robertson County

XTO Energy will drill the Druery Gas Unit Well No. 2 to 14,700 feet 4.2 miles southeast of Calvert in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley) Field in the H&TC RR Co./G. Logan Survey, A-417. It may be drilled in the Bald Prairie (Pettit or Travis) Fields.


EnCana Oil & Gas will drill the Louise Corn Unit Well No. 6 to 20,000 feet 10 miles southwest of Franklin in the John Amoruso (Bossier) Field. It is in the P/Grande Pereira, J&M Survey, A-32.


XTO Energy will drill the Steele Gas Unit Well No. 7 to 16,500 feet 1.3 miles northwest of Franklin, in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley) Field. It is in the S. Damon Survey, A-124.


Rusk County

Verado Energy will drill the J.B. Freeman "A" Well No. 10 to 12,000 feet in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field in the I. Lee Survey, A-17.


Cabot Oil & Gas will drill the White Gas Unit Well No. 9H to 13,500 feet 5.6 miles northeast of Minden in the Southeast Brachfield (Cotton Valley) Field. It is in the R. Bell Survey, A-91.


San Augustine County

Southwestern Energy will drill the ADJ Minerals GU 2 Well No. 1H to 7,900 feet 4.7 miles northeast of Attoyac in the Angie (James Lime) Field in the HT&B RR Co. Survey, A-153.


Shelby County

XTO Energy will drill the Jones Well No. 1H to 13,000 feet four miles southeast of Shelbyville in a wildcat field. It is in the Hrs. B. Odell Survey, A-534.


Burk Royalty will drill the Hughes Well No. 1 to 15,000 feet six miles northwest of Center in a wildcat field. It is in the S. Strickland Survey, A-639. It may be drilled in the Center (Haynesville) or the Stockman (Cotton Valley) Field.


Smith County

Valence Operating will drill the Katherine Luscombe Gas Unit Well No. 7 to 15,000 feet in the Noonday (Travis Peak) Field in the T. Quevedo Survey, A-18 1.2 miles north of Noonday.


Goldston Oil will drill the Lynn McFarland Et Al Well No. 1 to 7,800 feet .8 miles northwest of Sand Flat in the Beauchamp Springs (Paluxy) Field. It is in the F. Flores Survey, A-9.


Wood County

Pine Ridge Operating will drill the Beech Well No. 1 to 7,400 feet 8.5 miles northwest of Hawkins in a wildcat field in the M. Renatarez Survey, A-481.



COMPLETIONS

Angelina County

EnCana Oil & Gas completed two wells in the Raintree Field. The E.M. Ryan Unit Well No. 7 hit 11,825 feet four miles northeast of Wells and potentialed 5.606 million cubic feet of gas on an adjustable choke. The E.M. Ryan Unit Well No. 11 hit 11,825 feet 3.9 miles southeast of Wells. It potentialed 7.309 million cubic feet of gas on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Travis Peak.


Goodrich Petroleum completed the Estes JL GU Well No. 1H in the Loco Bayou Field to 16,131 feet miles northeast of Wells. On a 30/64-inch choke the well potentialed 5.522 million cubic feet of gas in the James Lime.


Cherokee County

Parten Operating completed the Beard Well No. 1 to 10,240 feet 5.3 miles south of Jacksonville in a wildcat field. On a 14/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.410 million cubic feet of gas.


XTO Energy completed the Chronister Heirs Well No. 32 to 12,203 feet eight miles southeast of Alto in the Doyle Creek Field. The well potentialed 675,000 cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke in the Travis Peak formation.


Chesapeake Operating completed the Henley Gas Unit Well No. 1 to 12,265 feet 7.1 miles southwest of Alto in the Decker Switch Field. The well potentialed 3.355 million cubic feet of gas on a 11/64-inch choke in the Travis Peak formation.


Ellis County

XTO Energy drilled the Harper Cattle 1 Well to 11,990 feet 2.6 miles south of Britton in the East Newark Field. No test data was recorded. Production is in the Barnett Shale formation.


EOG Resources completed the Bontke Well No. 12H and the Bontke Well No. 13H in the East Newark Field 5.2 miles northwest of Midlothian. The No. 12H hit 11,035 feet and potentialed 3.186 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke. The No. 13H hit 11,490 feet and potentialed 2.919 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale formation.


Freestone County

XTO Energy completed three new wells. The C.C. Thompson Gas Unit Well No. 23 and the C.C. Thompson Gas Unit Well No. 43 are 3.3 miles northwest of Donie in the Freestone Field. The No. 32 hit 13,137 feet and potentialed 1.762 million cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke. The No. 43 well hit 13,174 feet and potentialed 801,000 cubic feet of gas on a 14/64-inch choke. The Willard Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 3 hit 12,870 feet 2.5 miles northeast of Fairfield in the Teague Field. On a 48/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.698 million cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated.


The Teague Field has seen the F. E. Hill Gas Unit Well No. 4H and the Dunlap Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 11. The No. 4H hit 13,605 feet 1.8 miles northwest of Fairfield and potentialed 1.051 million cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke. The No. 11 hit 12,545 feet 2.4 miles southwest of Fairfield and potentialed 2.119 million cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated.


Devon Energy completed the C.E. Neal Jr., GU b-1 Well No. 14H to 14,590 feet 5.5 miles northeast of Fairfield in the Nan-Su-Gail Field. This well potentialed 21.239 million cubic feet of gas on a 0.5312-inch choke in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.


Gregg County

Tanos Exploration completed the G.W. Culver GU Well No. 1H to 13,800 feet 5.7 miles southwest of Longview in the Willow Springs Field. On a 32/64-inch choke the well potentialed 2.937 million cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley formation.


Harrison County

Samson Lone Star completed the Woodley GU 1 Well No. 2H to 14,790 feet four miles northwest of Elysian Field and potentialed 9.164 million cubic feet of gas on a 26/64-inch choke. The Riley Trust Well No. 2H hit 15,560 feet seven miles west of Waskom and potentialed 10.438 million cubic feet of gas on a 40/64-inch choke in the Haynesville formation.


Forest Oil completed the J. Jone Well No. 1 to 11,055 feet four miles northeast of Karnack in the North Carthage Field. On a 10/64-inch choke the well potentialed 32,000 cubic feet of gas in the Bossier Shale.


PMO completed the Reese Well No. 1 H to 13,361 feet 18.8 miles southwest of Marshall in the Oak Hill Field. It potentialed 2.905 million cubic feet on a 20/64-inch choke in the Cotton Valley formation.


Buffco production completed the Brown Well No. 5 to 10,459 feet 3.4 miles northwest of Beckville in the Beckville Field. On a 20/64-inch choke the well potentialed 762,000 cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley.


NFR Energy completed the Flying LL Trust Well No. 1 to 12,323 feet miles within Longview in the Oak Hill Field. This well potentialed 474,000 cubic feet of gas on a 12/64-inch choke in the Cotton Valley.


Valence Operating completed the McCowan Well No. 1 to 12,140 feet 16.5 miles east of Marshall in the North Carthage Field. The well potentialed 181,000 cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke in the Bossier Shale formation.


Berry Oil completed the Jenkins "A" Unit Well No. 15 in the Southeast Darco Field to 10,350 feet 9.2 miles south of Marshall. It potentialed 516,000 cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke in the Cotton Valley.


Leon County

Forest Oil completed the McBride Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 1 to 11,215 feet 3.2 miles southwest of Jewett in the McBee Field. This well potentialed 428,000 cubic feet of gas on a 24/64-inch choke in the Travis Peak.


Valence Operating completed the Black Well No. 7 in the Farrar Field to 14,365 feet 8.3 miles northwest of Jewett. On a 48/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.580 million cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley Lime formation.


Forest Oil Completed the Clute Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 9 to 10,970 feet .6 miles northeast of Jewett on the Jewell Field. On a 48/64-inch choke the well potentialed 532,000 cubic feet of gas in the Travis Peak.


Limestone County

XTO Energy completed the Morton No. 1 Gas Unit Well No. 25 to 12,964 feet 14.5 miles southeast of Groesbeck in the Freestone Field. The well potentialed 821,000 cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley- Bossier Field.


Berry Oil completed the Alton Sims Well No. 23 in the Freestone Field to 13,030 feet 13.9 miles northwest of Jewett. This well potentialed 1.416 million cubic feet of gas on a 40/64-inch choke in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated.


XTO Energy completed the Sand Branch Gas Unit Well No. 10 to 13,800 feet 11.8 miles southeast of Thornton. On a 48/64-inch choke the well potentialed 415,000 cubic feet of gas is in the Cotton Valley Lime.


Nacogdoches County

Goodrich Petroleum completed the Endeavor Well No. 1 to 12,115 feet 14.4 miles southeast of Nacogdoches in the Gates Field. On a 20/64-inch choke the well potentialed 10.089 million cubic feet of gas in the Travis Peak formation.


Samson Lone Star completed the Jessica GU 1 Well No. 1 and the John Ross GU 1 Well No. 6 in the West Douglass Field. The No. 1 hit 10,757 feet seven miles south of Cushing and potentialed 3.939 million cubic feet of gas on a 30/64-inch choke. The No. 6 hit 10,263 feet 11.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches and potentialed 3.940 million cubic feet of gas on a 30/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak.


Panola County

Devon Energy completed the Corrie Steele Unit Well No. A-24 to 11,127 feet 12.2 miles southwest of Waskom in the North Carthage Field. It potentialed 253,000 cubic feet of gas on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Bossier Shale.


XTO Energy completed the Harris-Drummond Gas Unit II Well No. 3H to 15,500 feet 6.9 miles southeast of DeBerry in the North Carthage Field. Gauged on a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3.682 million cubic feet of gas in the Bossier Shale.


Coronado Energy completed the T. Lynch Gas Unit Well No. 7-H to 13,200 feet 16.6 miles northeast of Carthage in the Carthage Field. On a 32/64-inch choke the well potentialed 7.123 million cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley formation.


ConocoPhillips completed the Panola 2 Unit Well No. 17 to 9,615 feet 8.9 miles east of Carthage the Carthage Field. The well potentialed 858,000 cubic feet of gas on a 26/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.


Devon Energy completed the H.R. Fender Well No. 19 to 9,591 feet 5.7 miles southwest of Carthage in the Carthage Field. The well potentialed 1.591 million cubic feet of gas on an adjustable choke in the Cotton Valley formation.


Goodrich Petroleum completed the G.T. Waldrop GU Well No. 3H to 10,185 feet 6.7 miles southwest of Tatum in the Beckville Field. On a 52/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3.792 million cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley formation.


Robertson County

XTO Energy completed the Milstead Gas Unit Well No. 5 to 13,462 feet 11.5 miles northeast of Franklin in the Bald Prairie Field. It potentialed 662,000 cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.


Burlington Resources O&G completed the BR Stegall Gas Unit Well No. 5 to 15,540 feet .9 miles west of Franklin in the Savell Field. On a 28/64-inch choke the well potentialed 14.115 million cubic feet of gas in the Bossier Sand.


XTO Energy completed the J. C. Kennedy Gas Unit Well No. 5 2.8 miles northeast of Franklin in the Bald Prairie Field. On a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.819 million cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley.


Rusk County

SandRidge Onshore completed the Wilkerson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 15 to 1,093 feet 5.7 miles southeast of Henderson in the Minden Field. On a 34/64-inch choke the well potentialed 2.814 million cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.


Energen Resources completed two wells in the Oak Hill Field. The A. Minor Gas Unit Well No. 20 hit 10,612 feet 4.9 miles northwest of Tatum. On a 17/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.935 million cubic feet of gas. The J. Hutchings Unit Well No. 24 hit 10,745 feet 5.4 miles northwest of Tatum. On a 18/64-inch choke the well potentialed 948,000 cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley.


NFR Energy completed two wells in the Oak Hill Field. The Kathleen Lee Brown Gas unit Well No. 5 hit 11,850 feet two miles northwest of New Prospect. It potentialed 1.220 million cubic feet of gas on a 50/64-inch choke in the Cotton Valley formation.


The Katherine Welch Unit Well No. 3 hit 10,925 feet 4.5 miles southwest of Pinehill in the Minden Field. This well potentialed 668,000 cubic feet of gas on a 34/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.


SandRidge Onshore completed the Nana Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 17 to 10,880 feet five miles southeast of Henderson in the Minden Field. On a 31/64-inch choke the well potentialed 2.428 million cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley.


Goodrich Petroleum completed the Robert Youngblood GU Well No. 11to 10,865 feet 5.1 miles southeast of Henderson in the East Henderson Field. Gauged on a 28/64-inch choke the well potentialed 405,000 cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley formation.


Davis Oil & Gas completed the Grissom Heirs Well No. 1 to 12,130 feet 10.6 miles southwest of Burleson in the Minden Field. It potentialed 346,000 cubic feet of gas on a 12/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.


San Augustine County

Cabot Oil & Gas completed The Katherin Von Goetz Well No. 3 to 13,605 feet 5.4 miles northwest of San Augustine in the Bossierville Field. The well potentialed 684,000 cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke in the Bossier Shale.


Shelby County

Petrohawk Operating completed the Bowers Gas Unit Well No. 1H to 11,400 feet two miles northwest of Tenaha. On a 18/64-inch choke the well potentialed 150,000 cubic feet of gas in the Jurassic.


NFR Energy completed the Mitchell Trust GU Well No. 1A to 11,550 feet seven miles northwest of Timpson in the North Carthage Field. Gauged on a 20/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 2.123 million cubic feet of gas in the Bossier Shale formation.


Classic Operating completed the E.L. Lowe Et Al Well No. 4 to 8,745 feet 2.8 miles south of Joaquin and potentialed 1.344 million cubic feet of gas on a 30/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.


Cabot Oil & Gas completed the Gallup Unit Well No. 1 to 13,179 feet 10.4 miles southwest of Center in the Angie Field. The well potentialed 2.928 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke in the James Lime.


Smith County

Forest Oil completed the Wylie Heirs Well No. 1 to 12,500 feet four miles west of Troup in the Overton Field. On a 20/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3,000 cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley.


Goldston Oil completed the Rex. R Couter et al Well No. 1 to 7,550 feet .2 miles southwest of Sand Flat in the Beaucamp Springs Field. On an open choke it flowed with 50 barrels of crude in the Paluxy.


Goldston Oil completed the Julia Thompson et al Well No. 1 in the Beaucamp Springs Field to 10,750 feet .06 miles southwest of Sand Flat. On an open choke, the well flowed with 180 barrels of crude in the Paluxy.


Wood County

White Rock Exploration completed the Lloyd Unit Well No. 1 to 9.515 feet 6.8 miles northeast of Quitman in a wildcat field. On a 8/64-inch choke, the well flowed with 45 barrels of crude.
