Another nice EXCO well near Chireno.
SM well in San Augustine County is interesting (12 mmcf/day) due to location
Classic drills a vertical Haynesville and royalty owners sigh.
CHK drills a horizontal Haynesville near center, and doesn't get great results.
dbob, Exco is making headlines south of Chireno. All of their wells have been exceptional in that area.
SM has reported all of their San Augustine wells in the 10-12 MMcfd range with a fairly small choke. This well had a flowing pressure well over 8000# and the choke was 20/64 so, yes, it was an interesting well.
Classic has permitted two horizontal HA wells, in the Joaquin area, west of the Goodrich stacked laterals reported earlier this year. Mineral owners may yet have something to smile about. At least... they can hope.
No comment re:CHK @ Center.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
