The C.C. Thompson Gas Unit Well No. 36 will be drilled by XTO Energy to 13,500 feet 8.7 miles southeast of Teague in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. This well is in the J.L. Chavert Survey, A-10.
Harrison County
XTO Energy will drill the Tucker Gas Unit II Well No. 1H to 13,000 feet .6 miles northeast of Elysian Field in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well is in the J.T. Copeland Survey, A-136.
The Woodley Well No. 5H will be drilled to 13,000 feet 4.5 miles southeast of Gill in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field by NFR Energy. The well is in the W. Humphries Survey, A-299.
Henderson County
A wildcat field will see the John Wall Well No. 2 drilled to 12,000 feet eight miles southeast of Brownsboro by Randall Exploration. The well is in the J.K. Brown Survey, A-66 and may be drilled in the Ashley Mizer (Travis Peak) Field or the Steve Kraker (Pettet) Field.
Johnson County
Devon Energy will drill the John King Edward Well No. 6H to 9,000 feet 9.3 miles west of Cleburne in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. This well is in the H&TC RR Co. Survey, A-394.
XTO Energy will drill the Tubbs Unit Well No. 3H and the Tubbs Unit Well No. 4H in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field to 12,000 feet. These wells are five miles northwest of Alvarado in the J.F. Salas Survey, A-760.
Chesapeake Operating will drill the Darby Well No. 2H and the Darby Well No. 3H to 9,000 feet 5.6 miles northeast of Cleburne in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. They are in the J. Williams Survey, A-891.
Leon County
The Russell "A" Well No. 4, the Russell "A" Well No. 5 and the Russell "A" Well No. 6 will be drilled in the Bear Grass (Travis Peak) Field by Valence Operating.
The No. 4 is 3.8 miles west of Jewett in the D.W. Burleson Survey, A-141.
The No. 5 and the No. 6 are four miles west of Jewett in the J.M. Mead Survey, A-629. The wells may also be drilled in the Bear Grass (Pettit) Field.
Basa Resources will drill the Leone Plantation Well No. 7 to 6,300 feet ten miles southeast of Oakwood in the Oakwood Field in the E.S. Huston Survey, A-340. It may be drilled in the Oakwood (Woodbine) Field.
Nacogdoches County
In a lease 17 miles east of Nacogdoches in a wildcat field, the Cupcake Well No. 1 will be drilled by Sonerra Resources to 600 feet in the J.I. Y'Barbo Survey, A-60.
EOG Resources will drill the Dorothy Unit Well No. 1H to 14,200 feet 11.4 miles southeast of Nacogdoches in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well is in the J.M. Mora Survey, A-827.
Robertson County
The Mitchell Gas Unit III Well No. 35 will be drilled to 14,200 feet 10.4 miles northeast of Franklin by XTO Energy. This well is in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field in the O. Denson Survey, A-126.
XTO Energy will drill five new wells in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field.
The Ely Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 1 will hit 14,100 feet 4.8 miles northeast of Calvert in the E. McMillan Survey, A-222. This well may also be drilled in the Bald Prairie (Pettit or Travis Peak) Fields.
The Inglish Gas Unit Well No. 2 will hit 14,600 feet 4.8 miles southeast of Calvert in the S. Hunter Survey, A-184.
The Webb Gas Unit Well No. 4 will hit 14,600 feet 5.1 miles southeast of Calvert in the H&TC RR Co./D. Parker Survey, A-418.
The Horn Gas Unit Well No. 10 will hit 14,500 feet 4.4 miles northwest of Hearne in the C. Snell Survey, A-340.
The Mary J. Watts Gas Unit Well No. 11 will hit 14,100 feet 16.4 miles northeast of Franklin in the M. De La Concepcion Marquez Survey, A-25.
San Augustine County
The Orediggers DU Well No. 2H will be drilled by XTO Energy to 12,900 feet 6.8 miles northwest of San Augustine in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well is in the HT&B RR Co. Survey, A-159.
Exco Operating will drill the Davis SU Well No. 1H to 15,000 feet 6.3 miles northeast of Chireno in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well is in the A.M. Davis Survey, A-99.
Smith County
The Byars Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled by 3-T Exploration to 7,250 feet 10 miles northeast of Tyler in the Three T Harris Creek (Paluxy) Field. This well is in the W.B. Hardin Survey, A-482.
Tarrant County
Chesapeake Operating will drill the Dunn Well No. 4H, the Dunn Well No. 5H, the Dunn Well No. 6H, the Dunn Well No. 7H, the Barron Well No. 5H, the Matlock Well No. 1H and the Jammer A Well No. 4H in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field to a depth of 9,000 feet.
The Dunn Well No. 4H, the No. 5H, No. 6H and No. 7H are within the city limits of Fort Worth in the T.K. Hamby Survey, A-815.
The Barron Well No. 5H is within the city limits of Arlington in the R.R. Ramey Survey, A-1341.
The Matlock Well No. 1H is 51.4 miles southeast of Fort Worth in the R.R. Ramey Survey, A-1343.
The Jammer A Well No. 4H is 12.5 miles east of Fort Worth in the J.H. Lucas Survey, A-932.
XTO Energy will drill four wells in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field to 12,000 feet.
The Meacham North Unit Well No. Q2H, the Meacham North Unit Well No. Q3H, the Meacham North Unit Well No. Q5H and the Meacham North Unit Well No. Q6H will be drilled within the city limits of Fort Worth in the J.T. Hobbs Survey, A-806.

Ellis County
Chesapeake Operating completed the Marmet D Well No. 1H to 14,275 feet within the city limits of Grand Prairie in the East Newark Field. This well potentialed 1.048 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Harrison County
The Brown Gas Unit Well No. 11H and the Rosehaven Gas Unit Well No. 11H have been completed by Penn Virginia Oil & Gas.
The Brown Gas Unit Well No. 11H hit 15,615 feet 8.2 miles west northwest of Elysian Field in the Hardwood Field. On a 28/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3.159 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
The Rosehaven Gas Unit Well No. 11H hit 13,668 feet 4.1 miles of Crossroads in the North Carthage Field. On a 64/64-inch choke the well potentialed 751,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
Berry Oil completed two new wells in the Carthage Field.
The Jenkins East GU 1 Well No. 1H hit 15,592 feet nine miles southwest of Marshall and potentialed 8.285 million cubic feet of gas on a 18/64-inch choke.
The Jenk-Hazb Gas Unit 1 Well No. 2H hit 16,224 feet 9.7 miles south of Marshall and potentialed 10.909 million cubic feet of gas on an 18/64-inch choke. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
The Slaughter Gas Unit "B" Well No. 4H hit 12,913 feet 2.5 miles southeast of Woodlawn in the Woodlawn Field. This well was completed by BP America Production. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 4.193 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
Johnson County
Chesapeake Operating completed six wells in the East Newark Field.
The Welborn Well No. 3H hit 10,262 feet 11.5 miles northeast of Cleburne. On a 1-inch choke the well potentialed 1.402 million cubic feet of gas.
The Mize Family Well No. 35H is 6.6 miles northwest of Cleburne with a depth of 8,682 feet. On a .75-inch choke the well potentialed 1.278 million cubic feet of gas.
The Welborn Well No. 4H hit 10,756 feet 11.5 miles northeast of Cleburne and on a 1-inch choke the well potentialed 2.319 million cubic feet of gas.
The Welborn Well No. 5H hit 11,368 feet 11.5 miles northeast of Cleburne and potentialed 2.201 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke.
The Welborn Well No. 6H hit 10,045 feet 11.5 miles northeast of Cleburne and potentialed 1.810 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke.
The Sandlin Well No. 2H hit 12,562 feet 2.1 miles northwest of Cleburne and potentialed 4.281 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
XTO Energy completed the Peggy Unit Well No. A 2H, the Weatherby Unit Well No. 5H and the Weatherby Unit Well No. 6H in the East Newark Field.
The No. A2H is 5.7 miles southwest of Crowley and hit 9,540 feet. On a 41/64-inch choke the well potentialed 2.022 million cubic feet of gas.
The No. 5H hit 9,782 feet 5 miles southwest of Mansfield. On a 64/64-inch choke the well potentialed 101,000 cubic feet of gas.
The No. 6H well hit 9,874 feet 5 miles southwest of Mansfield. On a 64/64-inch choke the well potentialed 2.741 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Devon Energy completed the Lawrence Moertle Gas Unit Well No. 2H to 11,028 feet 7.3 miles northeast of Cleburne in the East Newark Field. On a 32/64-inch choke the well potentialed 2.381 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Marion County
Pegasi Operating completed the Norbord Well No. 1 to 7,005 1.2 miles northwest of Jefferson in a wildcat field. This well was completed to 7,005 feet. On a 14/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3.409 million cubic feet of gas.
Nacogdoches County
Valence Operating completed the Patzakis Well No. 1 to 13,560 feet 15.9 miles east of Nacogdoches in the Northeast Martinsville Field. On a 14/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.280 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
Valence Operating completed the John Tubbe Well No. 1 to 11,024 feet 9.4 miles southeast of Nacogdoches in the Gates Field. On a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.039 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Travis Peak.
Panola County
In a lease 8.9 miles east of Carthage in the Carthage Field, the J.C. Guill Well No. 8 was completed by Harleton Oil & Gas to 6,813 feet and potentialed 375,000 cubic feet of gas on a 15/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak-Smith.
Patara Oil & Gas completed four wells in the Beckville Field.
The J.H. Browning Well No. 2 hit 10,175 feet 11.2 miles southwest of Carthage and potentialed 1.234 million cubic feet of gas on a 22/64-inch choke.
The J.H. Browning Well No. 6 hit 10,325 feet 11 miles southwest of Carthage and potentialed 700,000 cubic feet of gas on a 22/64-inch choke.
The C. Brooks Well No. 13 hit 10,474 feet 12.8 miles northwest of Carthage and potentialed 1.140 million cubic feet of gas on a 22/64-inch choke.
The C. Brooks Well No. 15 hit 10,380 feet 12.9 miles northwest of Carthage and potentialed 1.140 million cubic feet of gas on a 22/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
Bowles Energy completed the Maizie Lynch Well No. 1 to 7,010 feet 14.3 miles southeast of DeBerry in the Belle Bower Field. This well potentialed 144,000 cubic feet of gas, choke size not recorded. Production is in the Lower Pettit formation.
Indigo Minerals completed the Reed Estate Unit Well No. 17H to 12,480 feet nine miles southwest of Carthage in the Carthage Field. The well potentialed 5.563 million cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
In a lease 3.1 miles west of Joaquin in the Carthage Field, the Werner-Micher Well No. 4H will be drilled by Classic Operating. This well hit 12,660 feet and potentialed 1.866 million cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
Rusk County
The Trawick Field has seen the Trawick Gas Unit 57 Well No. 104 completed by Cabot Oil & Gas. The well hit 9,068 feet six miles northeast of Cushing. On a 24/64-inch choke the well potentialed 2.217 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Pettit-Travis Peak Consolidated.
Sabine County
Chesapeake Operating completed the Hezekiah Well No. 1H to 17,488 feet 11.5 miles northwest of Milan in the Carthage Field. On a 24/64-inch choke the well potentialed 18.557 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
San Augustine County
Exco Operating completed the Owens Well No. 1 to 17,890 feet 3.7 miles northeast of Attoyac in the Carthage Field. On a .4375-inch choke the well potentialed 21.256 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale. (Note: this is a field transfer from Wildcat to Haynesville)
Shelby County
Devon Energy completed the C.C. Locke Well No. 1H to 17,000 feet 4.3 miles northeast of Center in the Carthage Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 1.365 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
In a lease 2.8 miles northwest of Tenaha, in the Tenaha Field, the Lane Gas Unit Well No. 2 was completed by M.E. Operating to 11,335 feet. The well potentialed 1.148 million cubic feet of gas on a 14/64-inch choke. Production is in the Jurassic.
Tarrant County
Quicksilver Resources completed the Whiz-Q East Unit Well No. 11H and the Whiz-Q East Unit Well No. 12H in the East Newark Field 7.9 miles southwest of Arlington.
The No. 11H hit 12,025 feet and potentialed 3.718 million cubic feet of gas, no choke size recorded.
The No. 12H hit 12,106 feet and potentialed 4.845 million cubic feet of gas, no choke size recorded. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
XTO Energy completed eleven new wells in the East Newark Field.
The Hugh White Unit Well No. 13H hit 10,884 feet 2.5 miles south of Haslet. On a 34/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.708 million cubic feet of gas.
The Hugh White Unit Well No. 16H hit 10,899 feet 2.5 miles south of Haslet and on a 64/64-inch choke potentialed 1.662 million cubic feet of gas.
The Professor Unit Well No. 5H hit 9,439 feet 4.2 miles northeast of Burleson. On a 40/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.423 million cubic feet of gas.
The Tradition Unit Well No. 1H hit 10,242 feet 2.9 miles northwest of Benbrook the well potentialed 1.767 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke.
The Texas Steel A Unit Well No. 1H hit 11,687 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 420,000 cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke.
The Brentlinger Unit Well No. B 5H hit 10,755 feet 5 miles southwest of Mansfield and potentialed 3.324 million cubic feet of gas on a 22/64-inch choke.
The Brentlinger Unit Well No. B 6H hit 10,408 feet 5 miles southwest of Mansfield and potentialed 3.645 million cubic feet of gas on a 25/64-inch choke.
The Pacific Unit Well No. B 3H hit 10,687 feet 4.5 miles southwest of Kennedale and potentialed 4.447 million cubic feet of gas on a 26/64-inch choke.
The Pacific Unit Well No. B7H hit 11,444 feet 4.5 miles southwest of Kennedale and potentialed 4.315 million cubic feet of gas on a 15/48-inch choke.
The Haslet 78 Gas Unit Well No. 4H hit 10,986 feet .8 miles southeast of Haslet and potentialed 3.005 million cubic feet of gas on a 32/48-inch choke.
The Johnson TXU Unit Well No. F 4H hit 10,317 feet 1.3 miles northwest of Benbrook and potentialed 3.463 million cubic feet of gas on a 56/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

The Clifton Tannahill Gas Unit "A" Well No. 3H hit 10,125 feet 4.5 miles west of White Settlement.
The Clifton Tannahill Gas Unit "A" Well No. 6 hit 9,146 feet 4.3 miles west of White Settlement. On an open choke the well potentialed 1.365 million cubic feet of gas.
The Chapel Hill Well No. A5H hit 11,208 feet 4.6 miles northwest of Saginaw and potentialed 1.597 million cubic feet of gas on an open choke.
The Chapel Hill Well No. B7H hit 11,452 feet 4.5 miles northwest of Saginaw and potentialed 1.789 million cubic feet of gas on a 30/64-inch choke.
The Jarvis-Chief Well No. 8H hit 10,130 feet 3.8 miles north of Saginaw and potentialed 1.833 million cubic feet of gas on a 29/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

The Colby Well No. 1H hit 12,318 feet 4.6 miles southeast of Arlington and on a 1-inch choke the well potentialed 3.946 million cubic feet of gas.
The WB 358 A Well No. 3H hit 10,537 feet 9.8 miles southwest of Fort Worth and potentialed 544,000 cubic feet of gas on a.75-inch choke.
The Ford Unit Well No. 4H hit 10,050 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 3.373 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.
The Winscott Well No. J2H hit 9,970 feet 14.5 miles southwest of Fort Worth and potentialed 2.992 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.
The Harbison-Fischer Well No. 4H hit 9,595 feet .99 miles northeast of Crowley and potentialed 3.149 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Carrizo Oil & Gas completed the Jordan Unit Well No. 11H to 9,988 feet 3.4 miles northwest of Tarrant in the East Newark Field. On a 26/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3.319 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
