Chesapeake Operating will drill three new wells in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field to 9,000 feet.

The A. Barnes Assembly Well No. 1H, the A. Barnes Assembly Well No. 2H and the A. Barnes Assembly Well No. 4H will be drilled 15.1 miles southeast of Dallas in the W.H. Beeman Survey, A-126.

Freestone County

XTO Energy will drill the Eppes Unit Well No. 12 to 14,800 feet one mile from Donie in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. This well is in the N. Peck Survey, A-820.

Gregg County

The Elder Heirs Deep Unit "A" Well No. 1 will be drilled by Maximus Operating in a wildcat field to 9,000 feet one mile north of Kilgore in the J. Wilkinson Survey, A-224. The well may also be drilled in the Danville (Pettit-A-Oil, Travis Peak) Fields, the Willow Springs (Travis Peak or Rodessa) Fields.

Johnson County

XTO Energy will drill the Colonial A Unit Well No. 2H, the Colonial A Unit Well No. 5H, the Colonial A Unit Well No. 6H, the Colonial A Unit Well No. 12H and the Jackson Jerry Unit Well No. 6H in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field to 12,000 feet.

The Colonial A Unit Well No. 2H, the Colonial A Unit Well No. 5H, the Colonial A Unit Well No. 6H and the Colonial A Unit Well No. 12H are 4.7 miles southeast of Burleson in the J.A. Renfro Survey, A-740.

The Jackson Jerry Unit Well No. 6H is within the city limits of Burleson in the BBB&C RR Co. Survey, A-97.

Leon County

The Center Ranch A Well No. 1H will hit 16,000 feet 9.2 miles southeast of Centerville in the Halliday (Woodbine) Field. Chesapeake Operating will drill this well in the F. Del Valle Survey, A-29.

Gastar Exploration Texas will drill the Gastar Belin Well No. 3 to 20,000 feet 8.2 miles southeast of Ridge in a wildcat field. This well is in the J.M. Viesca Survey, A-30 and may be drilled in the Hilltop Resort (Bossier, Knowles or Pettet) Fields.

EnCana Oil & Gas will drill the Senator Ranch "B" Unit Well No. 4 in the Hilltop Resort (Bossier) Field. This well will hit 20,000 feet 4.6 miles south of Wealthy in the SA&MG RR Co. Survey, A-838.

Limestone County

The L.O. Nettles-Miles (SA) Well No. 1H and the L.O. Nettles-Quinn-McFerran (SA) Well No. 1H will be drilled to 11,000 feet eight miles southeast of Groesbeck in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field by Devon Energy. The well is in the M.R. Palacios Survey, A-21.

Nacogdoches County

In a lease 7.3 miles northwest of Chireno, in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field, the Hanna Unit Well No. 1H will be drilled by EOG to 14,000 feet in the J. Smith Survey, A-540.

EXCO Operating will drill the Walker Su E Well No. 1H to 16,000 feet 5.7 miles southeast of Chireno in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. The well is in the J. Walker Survey, A-57.

The Clayton Et Al Unit Well No. 1H will be drilled to 14,000 feet 4.9 miles northeast of Woden in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. EOG Resources will drill this well in the P. Procela Survey, A-47.

Panola County

Chevron U.S.A. will drill the T.S. Lagrone Well No. 1H to 10,500 feet 15.5 miles south of Carthage in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. This well is in the W. McMillan Sr. Survey, A-452.

The Charles Thomas Well No. 18 will be drilled to 12,500 feet 6.5 miles southwest of Carthage in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. Devon Energy will drill this well in the M. Parker Survey, A-527.

Devon Energy will drill four new wells in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field to 12,500 feet.

The Southland Paper Co. Well No. 18 is 6.1 miles southwest of Carthage in the I. Hanks Survey, A-271.

The Southland Paper Co. Well No. 20 is six miles southwest of Carthage in the I. Hanks Survey, A-271.

The Billie Jean Burton Well No. 23 is 5.5 miles southwest of Carthage in the S. Francis Survey, A-197.

The Havard-Griffith (Allocation Unit) Well No. 5H is 8.5 miles southwest of Carthage in the E. Morris Survey, A-432.

Rusk County

The Oak Hill (Travis Peak) Field will see Valence Operating drill the Nolan Senesac 5 Well No. 5 to 8,000 feet five miles southwest of Tatum in the C. Knodell Survey, A-468.

San Augustine County

The Bennett Gas Unit Well No. 2H will be drilled to 14,000 feet 7.3 miles northeast of Chireno in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. EOG Resources will drill the well in the E. Brown Survey, A-57.

EXCO Operating will drill the Greer SU Well No. 1H in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well will hit 15,000 feet six miles northeast of Chireno in the H.E. Watson Survey, A-368.

SM Energy will drill the Columbus Well No. 1H to 14,000 feet 3.9 miles northwest of San Augustine in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well is in the I&GN RR Co. Survey, A-392.

Shelby County

XTO Energy will drill the Mean Green DU Well No. 1H and the Bulls DU Well No. 1H in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field.

The Mean Gree DU Well No. 1H will hit 12,900 feet 13.3 miles southeast of Shelbyville in the T.R. Goodwyn Survey, A-256.

The Bulls DU Well No. 1H will hit 13,200 feet 6.1 miles southeast of Shelbyville in the W.S. Wilson Survey, A-764.

Tarrant County

Chesapeake Operating will drill four wells in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field to 9,000 feet.

The Pruett Frontier Well No. 2H is within the city limits of Fort Worth in the J. Wheat Survey, A-1678.

The Greenbriar Well No. 3H is within the city limits of Fort Worth in the G. Hernandez Survey, A-753.

The Sasha Well No. 1H and the York Well No. 1H are within the city limits of Haltom City in the J. Walker Survey, A-1654.

The East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field will see XTO Energy drill three wells to 12,000 feet.

The Carter Well No. B11H is within the city limits of Fort Worth in the D.C. Pace Survey, A-1245.

The TRWD Wildlife C Unit Well No. 2H and the TRWD Wildlife C Unit Well No. 4H are 3.4 miles southwest of Avondale in the J. Wilcox Survey, A-1722.

The Veale Ranch Well No. 42H, the Veale Ranch Well No. 43H, Veale Ranch Well No. 44H and the Veale Ranch Well No. 70H will be drilled in the East Newark, (Barnett Shale) Field by Devon Energy. These wells will hit 9,000 feet 9.2 miles southwest of Cleburne in the T&NO RR Co. Survey, A-1567.


COMPLETIONS

Anderson County

Don H. Wilson completed the Burnett Well No. 1 to 2,400 feet two miles northwest of Slocum in the Delaney Branch Field. This well flowed with one barrel of crude, no choke size recorded. Production is in the Wilcox.

Ellis County

The South Cannon Well No. 1H was completed three miles northeast of Venus in the East Newark Field. Range Production completed the well to 11,090 feet. On a 48/64-inch choke the well potentialed 902,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Harrison County

Andarko E&P completed the Letourneau Et Al 5 Well No. 25HH to 17,048 feet 15.6 miles southwest of Marshall in the Carthage Field. On a 20/64-inch choke the well potentialed 8.820 million cubic feet of gas in the Haynesville Shale.

EXCO Operating completed the Jonesville Well No. 2 in the Jonesville Field. This well hit 9,542 feet one mile east of Jonesville. On a 18/64-inch choke the well potentialed 40,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Travis Peak 5940.

The Waskom Field has seen Devon Energy Production complete two wells.

The Sanders-Abney (Allocation) Well No. 3H hit 13,162 feet 4.8 miles southwest of Waskom. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 6.199 million cubic feet of gas.

The Taylor-Abney-O'Banion (Allocation) Well No. 13H hit 15,600 feet 3.2 miles southwest of Waskom. On a 42/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3.029 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.

NFR Energy completed the Blalock "A" Well No. 15H to 15,021 feet five miles southwest of Marshall in the Carthage Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 5.685 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.

The Slaughter Gas Unit "B" Well No. 5H is located 2.5 miles southeast of Woodlawn in the Woodlawn Field. BP America completed the well to 12,710 feet. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 4.050 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.

Jasper County

Enervest Operating completed the Temple Inland A41 Well No. 2 to 16,357 feet 5.7 miles northwest of Jasper in the Brookeland Field.

On a 48/64-inch choke this well potentialed 5.915 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Austin Chalk 8800.

Johnson County

The Doc Owen Well No. 7H and the Doc Owen Well No. 8H have been completed five miles south of Cleburne in the East Newark Field by Chesapeake Operating.

The No. 7H hit 9,403 feet and potentialed 2.122 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke.

The No. 8H hit 10,191 feet and potentialed 2.916 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

EOG Resources completed two wells in the East Newark Field. The Tolbert Well No. 9H and the Tolbert Well No. 10H were completed 3.9 miles north of Venus. The No. 9H hit 12,970 feet and potentialed 5.576 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke. The No. 10H hit 13,176 feet and potentialed 4.665 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

XTO Energy completed two new wells in the East Newark Field.

The Lewis Unit Well No. B7H and the Lewis Unit Well No. B8H were completed 5.3 miles north of Alvarado.

The No. B7H hit 7,276 feet and potentialed 3.039 million cubic feet of gas on a 50/64-inch choke.

The No. B8H hit 9,348 feet and potentialed 1.991 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Leon County

The Senator Ranch "A" Unit Well No. 1 and the McMurrey-State Unit Well No. 2 were completed by EnCana Oil & Gas in the Hilltop Resort Field.

The No. 1 hit 17,877 feet 3.9 miles south of Wealthy. On a 18/64-inch choke the well potentialed 11.270 million cubic feet of gas.

The No. 2 hit 18,170 feet 13.5 miles east of Franklin and on a 12/64-inch chokel potentialed 5.472 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Bossier.

The Lispey Well No. 1 was completed by Brooks Petroleum to 6,420 feet 11.5 miles southeast of Oakwood in the Navarro Crossing Field. No test data was recorded. Production is in the Woodbine.

Nacogdoches County

The J. Smith GU 1 Well No. 8 was completed by Samson Lone Star to 10,620 feet 11.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the West Douglass Field. On a 18/64-inch choke the well potentialed 2.600 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Travis Peak.

Panola County

Anadarko E&P completed the CGU 9 Well No. 18 to 9,909 feet 3.6 miles southwest of Carthage in the Carthage Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 847,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.

NFR Energy completed the Young Grace GU Well No. 2H to 15,816 feet six miles of Beckville in the Carthage Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 8.011 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.

Devon Energy completed the Mangham Unit Well No. 29 to 9,555 feet four miles northwest of Carthage in the Carthage Field. This well potentialed 966,000 cubic feet of gas on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.

The BS Broderick GU 2 Well No. 3H is located 8.5 miles southeast of Carthage in the Carthage Field. Exxon Mobil completed the well to 16,153 feet. On a .2500-inch choke the well potentialed 5.013 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.

Rusk County

NFR Energy completed two wells.

The Barron Pearl Well No. 4 hit 11,680 feet eight miles northeast of Pone in the Minden Field. On a 48/64-inch choke the well flowed with 168.67 barrels of crude. Production is in the Travis Peak Consolidated.

The G.J. Huff GU Well No. 7 hit 11,020 feet 4.2 miles northwest of Henderson in the Oak Hill Field. On an open choke the well flowed with 45 barrels of crude. Production is in the Cotton Valley.

Sabine County

Shoco Production completed the Bourghs Creek Federal Well No. 2 to 8,000 feet 9.4 miles northwest of Milam in a wildcat field. On a .75-inch choke the well potentialed 135,000 cubic feet of gas.

San Augustine County

Eagle Oil & Gas completed the Halbert Unit Well No. 1 to 17,786 feet two miles southeast of Sunrise in the Carthage Field. On a 11/64-inch choke the well potentialed 10.035 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.

EOG Resources completed the Marvin Hardy Gas Unit Well No. 1H to 19,050 feet 4.7 miles southeast of San Augustine in the Carthage Field. This well potentialed 17.024 million cubic feet of gas on a 28/64-inch choke. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.

Tarrant County

XTO Energy completed eight new wells in the East Newark Field.

The Eden Southeast Unit Well No. 1H hit 12,560 feet within the city limits of Arlington and potentialed 4.999 million cubic feet of gas on a 37/64-inch choke.

The Sansom Park Unit Well No. 2H hit 10,962 feet four miles west of Fort Worth and potentialed 2.129 million cubic feet of gas on a 28/64-inch choke.

The Sansom Park Unit Well No. 4H hit 11,178 feet four miles west of Fort Worth and potentialed 1.569 million cubic feet of gas on a 28/64-inch choke.

The Milne Carroll Unit Well No. A 3H hit 10,865 feet 4.6 miles northwest of Mansfield and potentialed 2.932 million cubic feet of gas on a 28/64-inch choke.

The Milne Carroll Unit Well No. A 5H hit 11,390 feet 4.6 miles northwest of Mansfield and potentialed 2.567 million cubic feet of gas on a 25/64-inch choke.

The Howeth Unit Well No. 2H hit 9,803 feet 3.3 miles south of Azle and potentialed 2.799 million cubic feet of gas on a 34/64-inch choke.

The Howeth Well No. 3H hit 9,865 feet 3.3 miles south of Azle and potentialed 3.374 million cubic feet of gas on a 36/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Devon Energy completed five new wells in the East Newark Field.

The Clifton Tannahill Gas Unit "A" Well No. 4H hit 11,415 feet 4.4 miles west of White Settlement and potentialed 2.259 million cubic feet of gas on an open choke.

The Veale Ranch Well No. 35 hit 13,761 feet six miles southeast of Aledo and potentialed 2.465 million cubic feet of gas on an open choke.

The Veale Ranch Well No. 36 hit 13,365 feet six miles southeast of Aledo and potentialed 2.347 million cubic feet of gas on an open choke.

The Veale Ranch Well No. 37 hit 11,760 feet six miles of Aledo and potentialed 1.335 million cubic feet of gas on an open choke.

The Veale Ranch Well No. 38 hit 10,606 feet six miles southeast of Aledo and potentialed 1.409 million cubic feet of gas on an open choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Chesapeake Operating completed the Agape Well No. 3H in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. This well hit 11,870 feet 2.67 miles northwest of Crowley. On a .75-inch choke the well potentialed 5.692 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Upshur County

Verado Energy completed the Ernest Bowers Gas Unit Well No. 5 to 10,590 feet 6.5 miles west of Gilmer in the Rosewood Field. On a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.944 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.

Wood County

Carr Resources completed the Second Sub-Clarksville Formation Unit Well No. 311 to 8,130 feet 12.5 miles southeast of Quitman in the Pine Mills Field. On a 64/64-inch choke the flowed with seven barrels of crude. Production is in the Sub-Clarksville.
