BP America drill the Stroud B. Nesbitt Gas Unit Well No. 4H in the Woodlawn (Cotton Valley) Field to 13,500 feet 5.1 miles west of Marshall in the E. Talley Survey, A-703.

The Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field will see two new wells drilled to 10,000 feet by Samson Lone Star.

  The Sutton Well No. 2H is nine miles east of Marshall in the W. Lenville Survey, A-398.

  The R. K. Abney "B" Well No. 9H is four miles southwest of Waskom in the S. Holloway Survey, A-295.

Houston County

Burk Royalty will drill the Grinstead Well No. 1 to 13,000 feet 5.5 miles southwest of Lovelady in a wildcat field in the F. Perez Survey, A-63. This well may be drilled in the Fort Trinidad (Glen Rose, Buda, Georgetown, East Buda or Edwards) Fields.

The Colonial A Unit Well No. 8H and the Colonial A Unit Well No. 9H will be drilled to 12,000 feet 4.7 miles southeast of Burleson in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. These wells will hit 12,000 feet in the J.A. Renfro Survey, A-740.

Leon County

The Varibus Well No. 12H will be drilled by XTO Energy in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. This well will hit 21,000 feet 5.5 miles northwest of Jewett in the W.F. Gray Survey, A-296.

Nacogdoches County

Exco Operating will drill the Walker SU G Well No. 1H to 15,000 feet 5.8 miles southeast of Chireno in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. The well is in the J. Walker Survey, A-57.

Panola County

Devon Energy will drill two wells in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field to 12,500 feet.

  The McRae-Haygood Allocation Unit Well No. 12H is eight miles southwest of Carthage in the I. Hanks    Survey, A-271.

  The Mason Well No. 25 is 4.9 miles southwest of Carthage in the I. Hanks Survey, A-271.

There will be two new wells drilled by Anadarko E&P in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field to 11,000 feet.

  The CGU 13 Well No. 21 is 2.4 miles northwest of Carthage in the S. Duncan Survey, A-158.

The G.J. Huff GU Well No. 9H will be drilled 4.6 miles northwest of Henderson to 11,860 feet by NFR Energy in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is the J.C. De La Vina Survey, A-41.

EOG Resources will drill the Briggs Unit No. 1H and the Victoria Anne Unit Well No. 1H to 14,000 feet in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field.

  The Briggs Well No. 1H is 4.1 miles southwest of San Augustine in the R.B. Russle Survey, A234.

EnCana Oil & Gas will drill three wells in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field to 15,500 feet.

XTO Energy will drill the Dobson Unit Well No. 1H, Well No. 2H and Well No. 3H to 12,000 feet in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. These wells are 4.1 miles southwest of Benbrook in the T&P RR Co./B.R. Lacy Survey, A-1907.

The Horned Frog Well No. 6G will be drilled by Chesapeake Operating to 9,000 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. The well is in the E. Sutherland Survey, A-1438.

Carrizo Oil & Gas will drill four additional wells to 9,000 feet in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field.

  The wells are designated the Fannin Farms B Unit Well No. 8H, the Fannin Farms B Unit Well No. 9H, the Fannin Farms B Unit Well No. 10H and the Fannin Farms B Unit Well No. 11H. These wells are within the city limits of Arlington in the W.W. Warnell Survey, A-1612.

Titan Operating will drill the Trinity Unit C Well No. 1H, the Trinity Unit D Well No. 1H and the Trinity Unit E Well No. 1H to 8,500 feet in the W.E. Crooks Survey, A-295. These wells are 2.4 miles southwest of Southlake in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field.

EnCana Oil & Gas will drill the Biggs Well No. 4H and the Biggs Well No. 5H in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field to 9,000 feet. The wells are 4.2 miles southwest of Benbrook in the T&P RR Co. Survey, A-1475.

Vantage Fort Worth Energy will drill seven wells in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field to 9,000 feet 4.6 miles east of Benbrook.

The wells are designated the Southcliff Well No. 1H, No. 2H, No. 3H, No. 4H, No. 5H, No. 6H and No. 7H. These wells are in the W.J. Morgan Survey, A-1092.

Wagner & Brown completed the Rucker WL GU 1 Well No. 7H to 14,624 feet two miles south of Troup in the Overton Field. On a 2-inch choke, the well potentialed 58,000 cubic feet of gas. Produc-tion is in the Cotton Valley Sand.

Freestone County

XTO Energy completed the L.V. Jones Gas Unit 1 Well No. 4 to 12,760 feet .9 miles northwest of Fairfield in the Teague Field. On a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.881 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated.

XTO Energy completed the Cagle Gas Unit Well No. 18 in the Freestone Field to 13,207 feet 5.7 miles north of Donie. On a 48/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.179 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated.

XTO Energy completed three wells in the Teague Field.

  The Hale Unit Well No. 4 hit 12,563 feet 3.5 miles northeast of Teague and potentialed 562,000 cubic feet of gas on a 18/64-inch choke.

  The C. N. Williford Well No. 5 hit 12,353 feet 2.4 miles southwest of Fairfield and potentialed 1.611 million cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke.

  The Zeno King Gas Unit II Well No. 7 hit 12,590 feet three miles northeast of Teague and potentialed 752,000 cubic feet of gas on a 15/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated.

  The Dunlap Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 12 hit 13,029 feet 2.7 miles southwest of Fairfield and potentialed 1.357 million cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated.

The next two are in the Bear Grass Field.

  The Melvin Waldrip Gas Unit II Well No. 10 hit 14,500 feet .9 miles southwest of Donie and potentialed 2.723 million cubic feet of gas on a 17/64-inch choke.

  The H.L.&P. Gas Unit Well No. 28 hit 14,359 feet 1.6 miles southwest of Donie and potentialed 1.049 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated.

The last three wells are in the Freestone Field.

  The C.C. Thompson Gas Unit Well No. 35 hit 12,390 feet 8.9 miles southeast of Teauge and potentialed 1.287 million cubic feet of gas on a 16/64-inch choke.

  The Zeno King Gas Unit II Well No. 5 hit 12,610 feet 2.9 miles northwest of Teague and potentialed 1.044 million cubic feet of gas on a 18/64-inch choke.

Quicksilver Resources com-pleted the Snowball Well No. 1H to 13,400 feet 4.4 miles southwest of Blum in the East Newark Field. On an open choke the well potentialed 1.514 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Johnson County

The Vardeman Unit Well No. 1H and the Mendez Unit Well No. 1H were completed by Titan Operating in the East Newark Field.

  The Vardeman Unit Well No. 1H hit 11,070 feet four miles south of Alvarado and on a 64/64-inch choke the well potentialed 634,000 cubic feet of gas.

  The Mendez Unit Well No. 1H hit 8,980 feet four miles west of Burleson and on a 32/64-inch choke potentialed 2.285 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett shale.

Devon Energy completed six wells in the East Newark Field.

The first five wells were gauged on an open choke.

  The Mannings 4M Farm Well No. 5H hit 11,545 feet 10.5 miles northeast of Cleburne and potentialed 4.207 million cubic feet of gas.

  The Billy Boyd Well No. 11H hit 10,863 feet 11.3 miles northeast of Cleburne and potentialed 1.877 million cubic feet of gas.

  The Billy Boyd Well No. 12H hit 10,791 feet 11.3 miles northeast of Carthage and potentialed 1.289 million cubic feet of gas.

  The Boyd, Billy Well No. 13H is located 11.38 miles northeast of Cleburne with a depth of 9,900 feet and potentialed 2.062 million cubic feet of gas.

  The Billy Boyd Well No. 14H hit 12,345 feet 11.3 miles northeast of Carthage and potentialed 2.364 million cubic feet of gas.

  The Barry Callaway Well No. 1H hit 9,692 feet 5.2 miles northwest of Cleburne and potentialed 1.610 million cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

TXO Energy completed the Varibus Well No. 8H to 18,861 feet six miles northwest of Jewett in the Bear Grass Field. On a 20/64-inch choke the well potentialed 6.997 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated.

On a 48/64-inch choke the Chandler Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 19 potentialed 828,000 cubic feet of gas. This well was completed by XTO Energy to 13,200 feet in the Farrar Field 3.5 miles southwest of Donie. Production is in the Cotton Valley Lime.

The Freestone Field has seen XTO Energy complete two new wells.

  The Morton No. 1 Gas Unit Well No. 28 hit 12,898 feet 14.5 miles southeast of Groesbeck and potentialed 1.196 million cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke.

  The S.J. Harlow Gas Unit Well No. 25 hit 12,788 feet 13.8 miles southeast of Groesbeck and potentialed 948,000 cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated.

Brook Petroleum completed the R.J. Williams - A- Well No. 2 to 6,180 feet 11.5 miles southeast of Oakwood in the Navarro Crossing Field. On an open choke the well flowed with 31.92 barrels of crude. Production is in the Woodbine.

EnCana Oil & Gas completed the Carr-Navasot Unit Well No. 2 to 18,000 feet 3.1 miles southwest of Wealthy in the Hilltop Resort Field. On a 19/64-inch choke the well potentialed 19.224 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Bossier.

The Ellison Gas Unit Well No. 2 was completed to 10,400 feet 15.4 miles northwest of Centerville in the Branton Field by BRG Lone Star. On a 64/64-inch choke the well potentialed 992,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Rodessa.

Limestone County

XTO Energy completed the Carpenter Gas Unit II Well No. 20H to 17,225 feet 3.3 miles south of Farrar in the Farrar Field. On a 13/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3.115 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley Lime.

XTO Energy completed the H.D. Thomas Et Al Gas Unit Well No. 11HR and the Hudson "A" Well No. 12 in the Freestone Field.

  The No. 11HR well hit 15,418 feet 12.6 miles northeast of Groesbeck. On a 26/64-inch choke the well potentialed 7.732 million cubic feet of gas.

  The No. 12 hit 12,845 feet 7.9 miles southwest of Teague and potentialed 200,000 cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated.

Marion County

The Norbord Well No. 1 is located 1.2 miles northwest of Jefferson in the Rodessa Field. Pegasi Operating completed this well to 7,005 feet. On a 14/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3.409 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Norbord-Travis Peak.

Navarro County

XTO Energy completed the Newman Gas Unit Well No. 1H to 13,733 feet 10.2 miles southeast of Powell in the Cheneyboro Field. On a 12/64-inch choke the well flowed with 30 barrels of crude. Production is in the Cotton Valley.

O'Ryan Oil and Gas completed the Hulan Yarber (Smackover) Unit Well No. 3 to 9,400 feet 11 miles southeast of Corsicana in the Salt Break Field. On a 2/64-inch choke (note: this may be a typo) the well potentialed 1.304 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Smackover.

Panola County

The Hull Unit A Well No. A 45 and the Lilly Unit Well No. 2 were completed in the Carthage Field by Devon Energy. These wells were gauged on an adjustable choke.

  The No. A 45 hit 9,626 feet 6.2 miles southeast of Carthage and potentialed 37,000 cubic feet of gas.

  The No. 2 jot 9,650 feet four miles northeast of Carthage and potentialed 19,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Pettit, Lower Gas.

  The No. 4H hit 11,655 feet and potentialed 5.414 million cubic feet of gas on a 32/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Van Zandt County

The J.H. Parker Well No. 1 is located 1.4 miles east of Edgewood in the Edgewood Field. This well was completed to 13,700 feet by Eagle Rock Operating. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 1.485 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
