THE GHS HAYNESVILLE SHALE RIG TRACKER.  2021

I'll update each week so we can follow the rig count.  I am only counting rigs drilling the Haynesville and Bossier formations.  Many industry rig numbers are for the "Haynesville Area",  however they may defined that, and includes wells drilling other formations.

Hey Skip, its been a long time, btw, I am a Smart cousin on the othe side.  My brother lives there and I guess he and my siblings both received letters.  Have you heard of proposed wells about six miles north of Shreveport??

Hi, Iris.  Nothing moves in the Haynesville Shale (Louisiana side) that I don't know about it (pretty much).  I have multiple clients in those units.  Congratulations on getting a notice letter.  Trinity Operating/USG Properties have been moving your way for many months.  Now, they have arrived.  Good luck.

Noticed Trinity increased by one.  Where would I find out where Trinity is drilling or attempting to drill?  Also who approves or nullifies their application?  And how long does it take to know?

There are no free rig reports that provide specific location information as far as I know.  I subscribe to the Enverus Weekly Rig Report.  That is the source of this information.  Not sure what application you are referring to.  If you want to know when a permit to drill is approved by LA, you have to look on the SONRIS database.  You won't know anything, other than the unit/alternate unit well applications which require notice to Interested Parties, without searching for the specific data on SONRIS.
