thanks for the info sesport, the contamination from H2S from bacteria that deep and the potential to ruin a well shines a new light on fracking.  I noticed they used a 'C' in fracking other than a 'K'.  Wonder which is correct?
watchoo talkin bout max?  hydrogen sulfide?  ruining water wells or what?
Read the article.  One of the chemicals used prevents bacteria from contaminating the fractured section of the well.  I would think someone would understand when the words, 'that deep', would imply the well, not a water well.

not yet, some folks would rather shake the bushes instead of using a stick to look for rattle snakes.
