GEP acquired EnCana's leases in the Holly Field Jan. 1 2016 and promptly applied to drill alternate wells in units with top wells. So far I can't find where they have permitted anything on Sonris which is now about 3 months behind. Does anyone have any updates on their drilling

They have applied to the state to approve alternate unit well spacing. That is the notice letters that are required. That is not a "permit to drill". There is no notice for a permit to drill. Spacing approval precedes a permit to drill. So GEPH has taken the first required step and they can permit new wells and spud them whenever they are ready. Obviously they are not ready yet.

Permalink Reply by Skip Peel - Mineral Consultant on May 7, 2016 at 14:59 I'll check when I get home but production reporting is always ~45 days behind the last day of the month. March production should be reported by the middle of May. February production was reported in mid-April.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
