The following Bossier Shale completions reported in the Tyler Paper are of particular interest especially the GMX Resources well:

NFR Energy completed the Huffman Well No. 1 and Huffman Well No. 2 in the North Carthage Field. The No. 1 hit 11,501 feet five miles southwest of Crossroads and potentialed 4.392 million cubic feet of gas on an 18/64-inch choke. The No. 2 hit 11,578 feet 11 miles southeast of Marshall and potentialed 3.424 million cubic feet of gas on a 24/64-inch choke in the Bossier Shale formation.


GMX Resources completed the Baldwin Well No. 17H to 15,510 feet ten miles southeast of Marshall in the North Carthage Field. It potentialed 8.049 million cubic feet of gas on a 30/64-inch choke in the Bossier Shale formation.
