Hi Everyone.

Been a busy summer. I was wondering if anyone has any more info on this story. Also wonder if mineral owners could get access to network since I am sure a lot of the shale areas may not have high speed internet to work with. Just wondering.

Wireless and broadband products and services provider ERF Wireless Inc (OTCBB:ERFW) announced on Thursday its Network Services Group will immediately begin design, development and construction of a new wireless broadband network for the company.

The new network will initially be located in north-western Louisiana, covering the highest concentration of gas well drilling activity of the Haynesville Shale region. No financial details of the project were disclosed.

ERF Wireless said its new network will be operated by the ERF Wireless Oil & Gas Services Division to provide wireless broadband connectivity to oil and gas drilling customers currently operating in the Haynesville Shale as well as to provide wireless services to other commercial customers.

Upon completion of the eastern portion of the network, construction will move over the Texas-Louisiana border into north-eastern Texas to cover the remaining portion of the shale region. It is anticipated that the Louisiana portion of the new network will be operational in approximately 90-120 days, with the full network being completed by early autumn 2010.

The network will use both 3.65GHz licensed WiMax technology and unlicensed 900MHz technology to address the wireless propagation requirements of the heavy forests and rolling terrain of the region.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
