Jamestown Area Section 32 Township 16N R8W

My family has 130 acres in this area. I've not been there since the 70's. It used to be a tree farm with pines.

Just wondering what's going on in that area. If this is part of Jamestown Field? Would anyone know what "might" be happening in the area?

I do know the family has been bombarded with letters/offers/leases from several oil & gas companies.

James, although no Haynesville Shale wells have yet been permitted for T16N-R8W or the Jamestown Field, the area is highly prospective for the Haynesville Shale. Questar drilled two super wells in T15N-R9W that is to the southwest and the trend is moving into your area. So it is not surprising that your famile is being "bombarded" with offers especially given your lease is approaching expiration. Questar recently acquired further mineral rights north of their holdings in the Woodwardville Field and I wonder if your acreage may have been included.
