Does anyone know what is happening with the Lazard well in Desoto S 1- T11N - R 12 w? Leased by Petrohawk.

Tracy, I agree with Jay's assessment.  Petrohawk has employed "spudder rigs" to set surface casing on a lot of their Haynesville Shale wells. The Lazard Family well has a one year permit that will expire 3/8/2013.  Petrohawk can come back anytime before then with another rig and finish drilling the well.  And if the leases in that section are in term past that date Petrohawk could always let the current permit expire and simply apply for another.

Is this "sub 2 BCF wells" a small bad area or a large bad area?  I.e., is there something in the geology that makes this area not so productive?  And if so, do you have a sense of how far out the bad area extends?  Thanks.
