Need help! We have been offerd $1000 per acre in 16N R8W sec 28-29 Jamestown Field, several people around us have leased for that. Need some advise should we hold out for more. If I understand correctly we are being forced pooled in sec 28.

What company is making the offer? You might want to post under Bienville Parish. People are very helpful in that group.
Indeed post this in Bieville too. Good luck.
J-W Operating has applied for two HA units in 16-8 (Jamestown), Bienville Parish- probably who's making the offer or some subsidary.
I know about J-W Operating. We got that letter to. When they were leasing section 28 no one ever contacted us about leasing the part we have in that sec. My brother is who they have been talking to. He says it's Empressa. Our Mother passed away in 2000 & Dad passed away last month and we are waiting on paperwork to get back so we can do a sucession. They are talking to him because he already owns some ajoining the rest. Found out today that our neighbor signed for $1,400.00 an acre, I may be wrong but from following GHS I feel it's worth a lot more.
How do i move this to Bienville's page or do I just start over. Thanks everyone for your replies. Firelady
Be very careful. Some of the leases specify that if you acquire land adjacent to land you've already leased, the leasing company gets the mineral rights to your new land for free.
