Leasing in Townships 17,18,19,& 20 in southern Columbia County Arkansas

Does anyone have any information why several groups are trying to tie up all the minerals in South Arkansas - specifically everything south of Magnolia in Columbia County in Townships 17, 18, 19, 20  I asked another landman and he said he did not have a clue - that they were leasing everything including the mules. I am particularly concerned because we can be forced to lease as we do not own 100% of the minerals under the land and the other mineral owners have already leased - enticed by the $200 per acre. We have some lovely small pine plantations.
