I was using a link to see the filed permits but it now has a notification on it saying bad gateway. Where can I find the link that works?

olddog, SONRIS is being "improved". Really not so much, it's causing all kinds of problems. I've gotten that Bad Gateway error message also. I will email the SONRIS staff Monday if the problem continues.
thanks for the reply. it lets me know its not a problem on my end.
There have multiple and continuing problems with SONRIS owing to efforts to update the database which have caused some functions to go haywire. The instances go far beyond just the search of permits to drill.
This is the link that I use that I'm not having any problems with- https://www.dnr.louisiana.gov/index.cfm/page/779
It works for me also now that I have spent weeks complaining about the fact that the other search functions (applicant name, field, etc.) did not work. Now the blue serial number in SONRIS well files doesn't connect to the documents for that well from the Document portion of the database. When you click on the serial number you are directed to the Dashboard. Very frustrating.
The link that Chase provided does not connect to well permits. It connects to alternate well applications. This is the link to well permits to drill. Two separate and different applications. An operator must first get a field order which is granted after an alternate well application is approved. Think of that as a spacing approval for horizontal laterals which must conform to state minimum spacing regulations. Then an operator can apply for a well permit to drill which matches one or more of those approved slots.
I checked to make sure this link works but links to SONRIS often expire so save it so you can use it in the future.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
