Hal, there is no best company.  There are only professionals who have experience with selling Haynesville shale minerals.  I can only speak for myself but there are companies that I will deal with and companies that I will not.  That's where experience comes in.  Every sale has unique details that impact fair market value.  The best offers most often come from matching what a seller has to offer with what a company values the most.  A good match between seller and buyer is the aim.

More than anything what a professional brings to the negotiation is an appreciation for what is a good offer and what is a low ball offer.  Mineral companies will low ball mineral owners.  They are unlikely to try that with someone who deals in mineral sales on a regular basis.  One of my clients recently was interested in an offer for $43,000.  I got him $90,000.  He was prepared to take the $43,000.

thank you

By “sell minerals” do you mean have a lease?

I'm pretty sure that Hal is considering a sale of his mineral rights.  Minerals not covered by a lease are typically hard to sell and bring heavily discounted offers depending on location.

Thanks, Skip!

You're welcome, Lisa.

Cecil, soliciting is prohibited in main page discussions.  I suggest you read the site rules.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
