SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Natural-gas futures moved higher on Thursday after the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported a rise of 89 billion cubic foot in inventories for the week ended May 17. Analysts polled by Platts forecasted a climb between 90 billion cubic feet and 94 billion cubic feet. Total stocks now stand at 2.053 trillion cubic feet, down 680 billion cubic feet from the year-ago level and 84 billion cubic feet below the five-year average, the government said.
