All that talk about being open and upfront with Americans just flew out the window didn't it?
intrepid, lmao
Well, Obama has opened every window in the White House and has started throwing every campaign promise he made out. So why not that one?
Remember, talk is cheap, especially when its on the campaign trail. Backing up the talk is always hard. Of course, the old rule of thumb might come into play:

If a politician's lips are moving, you can bet he's lieing!
We need to all participate in the "Washington Tea Party" and send a bag of tea!
Jim,
When I die, the taxes aren't going to affect me at all!
No, but when someone with a taxable estate dies, and their heirs are forced to sell the decedent's business to pay death taxes, the (non-wealthy) employees who lose their jobs also suffer.
Who can afford life insurance policy ?
Well, if that person hadn't held onto her wealth throughout her lifetime and had paid transfer taxes all along, then not only would more people be working, but no one would lose their jobs. The death tax is so misunderstood. A friend of mind is a CPA and former IRS; I listen to him before I listen to anonymous naysayers.
The estate and gift tax exemptions are coordinated. Thus, if you give away $1 million during life, that would reduce your estate tax exemption to $2.5 million.
Well said.
Because they didn't pay taxes all along. They amassed assets and just held onto them
