Please note:  The below notice in red has been posted on PDS Energy's webpage, which is the go-to for Petrohawk's "Owner Relations Online System" that is used by HK & KCS (and which the Australian conglomerate BHP Billiton controls vis-a-vis being their parent company).

"Due to delays caused by the implementation of the Oracle software this month, Petrohawk does not expect to issue the monthly royalty checks until the latter part of the week of May 21st.  At this point, we anticipate the checks to be mailed no later than May 25th."

I have a few acres in a well that has been flowing since December and have yet to get a royalty check? Is that standard operating procedures?

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
