I was told yesterday by a man with Sonriselite that the well has to be paid for before landowners are paid. I thought that was only for landowners who did not lease. What is the normal for this. I would like to know if well #239985 is a good well.

It would appear to be just a little too early to tell about the quality of the well as I don't see the IP on Sonris yet. As far as what the man with Sonris Lite said.........either he mis-spoke or you mis-heard. If you are leased, you receive royalty income beginning with 1st production.
Thank you so much. That is the way I understood it, if you were leased you would be paid from the beginning of production.
i don't know about april's production, but May it produced 16995 MCF at 14.65. June it produced 145430 MCF (pretty good) and it has been down the first 10 days or so in July and has produced 32166 MCF so far.
Thank you for this information. This sounds pretty good to me,I just dont know that much about the wells.
If you signed a lease, you should receive your royalties on the first molecules of gas that come up. You do not need to wait for the well to pay out.

Sonris has not reported results for your well yet.
Henry, we doubled up on the lady!
Yep, I think we replied almost simultaneously.
Barbara, all I can tell you is the well was completed with 13 frac stages.
Thank you for the information. Can you tell me if that is good or bad. I sure need to learn a lot more about this. I have 40 acres in this section.
Barbara, that is about typical for many Haynesville Shale wells. We just need to see the initial test rate.
Thank you maybe I will learn a little about all this.
if you have 40 acres and your royalty is 25% , then your decimal in the section is .015625. That times the production figures I gave you would give you around 3040 MCF @ 14.65 for May thru mid July. (assuming the volumes don't change)Converting the MCF to DTH would result in it being a little less since it is dry gas, around a .970 Btu factor. If your Royalty is 20%, your decimal interest in the well would be about .0125. If it is 3/16, then it would be .01171875. This is all assuming the unit is exactly 640 acres and your acreage is exactly 40. I have seen some more or less around there. Gas prices since May have been over 4 bucks. That also being an EnCana/SWEPI well, they will more than likely hold out 3rd party gathering and taxes at least. Depends on your lease. 5 years ago, these guys banked on not gathering the gas and they put that clause in a bunch of leases.
