I can recall hearing about methane in water systems when I was at LSU.  It was sort of common in Southwest Louisiana where most water systems were based on artiseian water wells drilled in the same surface areas as known for oil/gas formations that were located deeper.  Later, here in Parker County Texas is is also known to occur.  EPA learned the hard way about here in Parker County.  They lost their fight with Ranger Gas over it here.  It seems the Texas Railroad Commission, the entity that regulates oil and gas drilling in Texas, has kept a long history of its occurrence.  That evidence led the federal courts to quash the EPA rulings here.  In time the courts will make iimilar tulings in Pennsylvania, New York and else where.  Methane is common, found in coal mines, water wells and of course in Shale formations.

so 4 year olds and up should expect flames to come out of the faucet.  Should be quite a scare to them.  Has anyone complained to the "news segment"?  What an irresponsible way to teach kids.  Where do we complain?  Then again, everything is ok if maybe bottled water companies are their sponsors?  Some fat ladies sitting in a tub filling up water bottles 24/7 is a lot safer than fracking.  LOL
