I received notice that Questar is relinquishing rights greater than 100ft. below the base of the haynesville shale as found at the Golson 32H #1. Any idea why?

Well Jim, Why?

Why proactively do anything in this case? That's not a business decision. Unless there are specific requests from a majority in a section to release these rights. Even then, why release everyone? Im not saying its possible, I'm just saying that I feel there is another reason here.

No business with shareholders proactively divests an asset for free.
Probably most of the leases had a vertical Pugh Clause, so Questar is just doing the right thing and making the release public.
