There is no DNR rule that I know of that requires prudent development, this is usually somthing that is refered to in the lease.

RS 30:9.1 does address ways to terminate a production unit, but it would have to be approved by the Commisioner.

Skip, attached is my latest unit grid. There are a total of 1302 Haynesville units in the play in eight parishes.

DeSoto - 450
Caddo - 283
Red River - 215
Bossier - 144

Thanks, Les. Do you have a total for the number of sections that exist in those parishes? I know some have more than the standard 36 but not which ones specifically. We may be reaching the point where we can keep a running account of the number unitized and the number remaining. What do you think, a pie chart or a bar graph?

While I appreiciate the work that Skip and Les have done, Personally, i like this map put out by DNR. It is by no means complete as many wells are not shown, but each section that has been unitized can be ade out. It should be noted that DNR waits until the units are adopted before adding them to this map.

James. Chesapeake is using the Petrohawk well to define the depth of the HA zone in the Cedar Grove Field because it is the only existing, completed HA well in that field. This is common practice and nothing to be fearful about. As to state mineral statutes, I am not qualified to answer your question. Sounds like a good one for KB though.
