We are about to sell Mom's house and the buyer wants the mineral rights, Her section is 27 18n 3w. I don't show any activity at this time but I'm wondering if the buyer knows something we don't. Mom's property is only 3/4 of an acre and may not be worth losing out on the sale of the house. Appreciate any help
There is decent Cotton Valley production two miles to the north that could extend down to section 27 but right now there is nothing in the section of any of the bordering sections. The urban area and town lots will also be a barrier to future gas development.
