I posted a question a couple of weeks ago regarding a 5 year lease and 20% mineral rights for our 60 acres of land in Vernon Parish. Swift Oil made the offer but we declined it because we felt a 5 year lease was too long. Since then I have been reading this blog and there's so much I don't understand. Yes, I am disappointed they didn't take our offer but I assured my family someone will be interested if they start drilling around our property and find something. Should I be trying to contact other oil companies or should I just sit and wait? HELP!
