Recently I drove over to take a look at the drilling site on the C Hereford Survey. Quite impressive. Huge drilling pad and derrick. I noticed there has already been pipeline ran to the well. It is my understanding the well is still in drilling mode and there is no production as of yet. I'm curious to know if it is common to run pipeline before there is any known production. Seems to me that the company must be confident in knowing the well is going to be a really good producer even before production starts.
Does anyone know if this is common in the oil and gas industry?
