If there is more than one well drilled on a pad in a 240 acre sec, will we draw royalty off of each well drilled? I know this has been answered but I can't find it.

If the operator carefully changed the records to move some production from one well on a pad as coming from another well on the same pad, is it likely to be discovered? Are there tamper resistant recording devices on each well? Does the state or some independent party audit the recording devices? Would the state notice or care as long as the total production at the other end of the pipeline or condensate tank is credited to some well and taxes paid?

I have a friend who used to audit well sites and production records many years ago. He said they caught operators cheating all the time. Maybe it's better now.
