If the operator carefully changed the records to move some production from one well on a pad as coming from another well on the same pad, is it likely to be discovered? Are there tamper resistant recording devices on each well? Does the state or some independent party audit the recording devices? Would the state notice or care as long as the total production at the other end of the pipeline or condensate tank is credited to some well and taxes paid?

I have a friend who used to audit well sites and production records many years ago. He said they caught operators cheating all the time. Maybe it's better now.

Thanks guys for the info. We think they are fixing to build a big pad on the Anthony Forest well serial # 239454,we have seen a lot of concert trucks going in. Yes we are leased.
