Has anyone ever heard of Ashlor LLC? Are they an operator, middleman, or a royalty buyer?

Can't say much that necessarily is applicable to the present but several years ago when JW Porter was leasing all around DeSoto Parish before any info on Haynesville was available, Ashlor LLC was the name on the leases.  Subsequently these leases were either sold to CHK or Ashlor was "fronting" for CHK all along.

Operators basically do not maintain sufficient internal land staff to conduct wide spread leasing.  All major and mid-major energy companies contract with land companies to assist in leasing when the scope or the urgency requires it.  In a play the size of the Haynesville Shale the more aggressive companies used multiple land companies in different areas of the basin.

Oh I understand now. Apparently my grand mother has more than one lease. So my question is, do I contact the company whose name is on the lease or do I contact Chesapeake and inform them?
