Be patient, they are having a hard time drilling what they have now. So give it some time, I have said all along that Winn Parish may be in the big middle of things.

I hope you're right. I have some interests in Winn Parish. Why do you think that Winn may be in the middle of things?

Because it sits on top of the salt basin that all the rest of the shale sits on. I am not a scientist just a landman. I look at where the play may go.

If there was any producable shale in Winn Parish it would be way too deep to be economical, and most likely not technically feasible. These types of posts really don't do anything for the site, the play is for all intents and purposes 90%+ defined

If members of the site are getting and giving information to and from each other then the post does technically "do" something for the site. If you don't agree or don't like the direction of a particular discussion, then you are free to not look at it.

By the way, Chesapeake is gearing up for another well 6 miles east of their easternmost well in Ashland to see what's there. I guess that must be part of the 10% that is not defined.

First let me say I do not have property in Winn. I would just like to ask Checkmateking to please expand on his statements. What research supports that 90% of the play has been defined?
