I tried sending a message to all members of this group.I'm not sure if I did it right, the notice is from the Shreveport-Blanchard Assoc.

A meeting will be held at Creamer's Furniture Store on July 16th at 6:30. We will be meeting with a representative from Chesapeake. He will present us an offer. We are told by the guy that set the meeting up that the offer will be for a minimum of $18,000 an acre. He is interested in land within a 5 mile radius of the Shreveport-Blanchard Hwy.

I'm not sure what [Section/TS/Range] this includes, but I plan to attend because I live in the Blanchard area.

yall have to excuse me,I'm new to all of this bloging..
it was brought to my attention that most people just look at the" Event Board" to keep up with meetings....

I was just trying to pass the word along.
its ok ...I got an email

Thanks
Thanks Ray for helping us to get the word out. I don't know what the outcome will be but it is worth listening to this guy. As I said, he will be the first person that we will have talked to regarding an offer. I hope that we will be getting the offer that I was told we could expect. I, for one, know that I will NOT be accepting the first offer, though!!!
I got the email too. Thanks for the notice. I just saw invitations printed and posted at Cliff's Corner etc.
I got it also...

Thanks
RAY,
Where is Creamer's furniture? Who set up the mtg. and what is his affiliation? I am leary of such a high figure but may consider attending the meeting.
Creamer's is located at 5189 Shreveport-Blanchard Hwy. Obviously, you are not in the Blanchard area! Everybody and his uncle are familiar with the store.
Robert Creamer, a member of our association set the meeting up. Come and hear the presentation. It is better to hear this kind of thing for yourself rather than 2nd or 3rd hand.
Where can I get more info on the S'port Blanchard Association? Any names or phone numbers available?
all of this is news to me also...never heard of the association.

Creamer's furniture is located on Shreveport-Blanchard HWY [ Hwy 173] near Bostwick Rd...

Creamer is a local [invoved] citizen...ran for a few offices.
Ray,
I may not make the meeting. Will anyone be taking minutes of the meeting to share with others? It would be great if the info could be made available on this board...for the sake of those who work at night, are elderly, or otherwise can't make the meeting. THANKS, nonetheless, for sharing this helpful info.
Todd,
I will try to add a brief synopsis of the meeting later tonight.
