Have there been any offers to lease property in the town of Blanchard?

I live out of state but still own property in the town of Blanchard so I try to read the Shreveport times on-line to stay updated - no updates lately. I have not received any offers to lease my mineral rights.

Did you ever get any information about the Blanchard area? I also live out of state and own property in that area (Township 18, Range 15, Section 09, Caddo Parish) and I haven't heard anything about leasing the mineral rights. It is my understanding from some others that have land next to my property they leased their mineral rights in 2008. Any information from anyone regarding the above area would be appreciated greatly.

As a side note, the only notification I have ever received regarding anything about my property was a letter dated Feb. 25, 2010 that I received from Onebane Law Firm stating that Chesapeake Operating Inc plans to apply to the Commissioner of Conservation for a public hearing on March 17, 2009 related to the Haynesville Zone, Reservoir A, in the Longwood Field. The letters indicates the conference is to discuss Order No. 123-K effective June 17, 2008 in the Exco - Wages 12 No. 1 Well, located in Section 12, Township 18 North, Range 16 West, Caddo Parish. This seems to be just outside my area (Township 18, Range 15, Section 09, Caddo Parish) so I may just be receiving this because my property is proximate to the proposed unit. The contact given at the law firm was David Comeaux @ 337-233-9839.
Nothing lately, disappointing results in the northern townships, wait for gas prices to increase.
I see that there is another rig going up on North Hearne. That will be the second well drilled in that area, although it appears to be another section over. If the results are so bad, why do they continue to drill this area? Is it merely to hold the leases or are they finding something other than gas that makes it worth drilling? Please understand that I am not questioning anyone about the disappointing results in these townships, just wondering if anyone has heard anything lately.
Cathaus, Jay has stated that the wells around and especially just south of Cross Lake have petrophysical characteristics similar to the Cedar Grove Field as opposed to the shale just to the north in the Longwood and Caddo Pine Island fields. I believe that the Tellus well on the north shore of Cross Lake was good at about 10MMcfd IP if memory serves.
Thanks Skip. See what you learn when you ask a question!
Does anyone have any information on leasing near Cash Point off of Shreveport Dixie Highway.
DDD. There is none that I am aware of. Leasing in north Caddo slowed in late 2009 and stopped entirely in early 2010 as far as what has been filed of public record with the Caddo Clerk of Court.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
