Twin Cities landman Rick Mc Clellan called me 2x today--I wasn't home 1st time. Wants to offer me 1500 an acre & 25% interest--states offer will go down to $1000 an acre in 10 days. Any comments? ....course he told me Samson would force pool us in a few months anyway. I'n the only relative he could find phone # for. I am grateful to this site & people like KB, Skip & others assisting in not letting these offers overwhelm me. P.S. I wasn't anxious to sign at $10k either altho it wasn't offered.

Are they still touting the if you don't sign...we can't drill? My sister thought the song had merit....as for me, NOT!

4/27 Rec'd another letter from Twin Cities stating UMI's in T18R14W Sec 4 were preventing drilling in that section they were going to stop leasing that section & if "we UMI's" don't intend to lease please call them to take name off list. Of course I'm not going to call them or lease. Samson Contour unitized the section along with several other sections. It was suggested by a reliable source that wait & see who Samson designates as leasing agent if not them. I have other fish to fry anyway.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
