That is Houmas House In Burnside, LA. on the River Road between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. There are a number of plantations open for tours but Houmas House is my favorite and the grounds are stunning. The image is a portion of the front yard. You should see the back.

it? I would like more info. on why they stay say our area is under a state lease. Southwood Terrace Area. Who's says that? What info. to they have we don't and why have we not been told anything in this regard?
As exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond.
