Thank you very much, I am assuming that some of those leases they signed a couple of years ago will be expiring in a year or so, as such, I would assume something would happen. However, I live out of state and don't hear much of what is going on in that area, and someone has approached me about buying my property. Is anything even talked about in that section?

Most of the Blanchard area was proven sub-economic for the Haynesville Shale in the winter of '08/'09 by a number of disappointing well completions. However recently an operator with a good track record in the Haynesville Play has formed one or more drilling units to the west. It is possible that some portion of 18N - 16W and the west half of 18N - 15W may be considered economic in the near future if the EXCO wells prove economic. Section 9 is on the edge of that area. I always counsel my clients to reserve their minerals. In LA. severing the surface from the mineral rights creates a servitude which is effective for 10 years (prescription). That should be more than sufficient time for the prospective nature of your section to be determined. If a well is drilled it resets the 10 year period. And if the well is productive it maintains the servitude as long as production exists. When the production ceases the 10 year clock starts again. After 10 years of no production, the mineral rights prescribe to the owner of the surface at that time.

Well a year has passed and I wanted to check back with you to see if anything ever happened in that area (T18N R15W S9)?

Kevin, in the last year Petrohawk has completed five or six wells to your west and south in 18N - 16W.  The best of those wells was barely an average Haynesville horizontal.  The others were quite a bit below average.  Your area is just not economic at today's nat gas prices.
