The completion report for that Adams 1-H well seems to imply that the well is producing in HA with a the pay zone depth at 10,957'. The other formation top depths listed on the log are BO at 10,154', Lower Cotton Valley at 9,623' and Travis Peak at 7,104.

FYI, Devon also drilled a deep vertical pilot test hole at that Adams 1-H site all the way down to 16,135' TVD before plugging back and completing the well horizontally in the HA at 10,900'. No public info released on those depths below the HA, unfortunately.

A few interesting idiosyncracies for the area are:

CHK's - Smith 1H horizontal well just below that DVN Adams 1H shows a HA completion pay zone at 11,500'.

Unit Petrolium had an IP report for their Smith #1 at that same location as the CHK horizontal and their report was for a vertical completion at 11,700' producing in the Stockman Cotton Valley field.

That pay zone is 200' below CHK's HA payzone for the 1H, so it looks to me that the Unit Petrolium well could, in reality, be producing from the Lower CV Lime below the HA.

Time will tell, I guess...
D. Gaar----- good info--thanks
adubu - In your update on August 31st regarding the survey you mentioned that Sietel will not be finished until year end or possibly by February 2011 and that leasing should pick up in the 2012 time frame. We are in the JI Ybarbo A60 survey and the current lease is expiring at the end of 2010. What is your take on potential lease bonus and royalty percentage in this timeframe?
laura--who presently has your lease? where in Survey are you? total net mineral acre?
adubu - our property is west of highway 95 off the Catholic Church road, north of the Black Jack Melrose road (I think that is CR 350). Our family (3 heirs) own about 56 net mineral acres. The current lease is wih Samson which was originally signed by my father in January of 2006. The two year automatic renewal expires on January 3, 2011.

Based on the great information I have found on this site I have been looking at the GIS maps and the RRC information regarding permits. There is one permit which is not numbered which may be close to our acreage. I am not sure how to find any further information on that permit.
Laura, Samson-Eleanor Rigby GU #1H is way east of FM 95 and shouldn't be anything to worry about.
Laura, We also have minerals leased to Samson in the Y'Barbo survey. Last year, just before it expired, they drilled a very poor Travis Peak well and now have us HBP. I hope they won't do that to you. Samson has not seemed very agressive in developing the HS in that area.
jffreel - I have to go back to the RRC data. I didn't see that well on the permit list in the survey.
It's not on the GIS map yet. I got the coordinates of the surface location from the unit plat and used my mapping software to locate the well. When the Texas icon appears next to the API number on the permit page, it will be on the GIS map.
