Has anyone been contacted by a CW Resources or Black Stone Energy for leasing in the JR Crofton (A-149) or Isom Wray (A-825) Surveys? If so, what terms were you offered?

 

Black Stone Energy (Black Stone Minerals) has just leased deep play minerals in this area from a large mineral owner.

I have 96 mineralacres in Angelina County which I leased to Goodrich for $300/acre with 1/5th royalty.

Have not heard what others are leasing for.  I have been told that they are trying to lease even small

parcels so they have acreage to pool/unitize.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
