On Aug5 it was reported that a "pre-application notice was filed for 16N 8W Sec29,32,33

How would one research and find the disposition of the application? What is the progress now?

The Field Order for this unit application has not been issues or has not been posted to the database. As far as how to research, an excerpt from the SONRIS Help Center group page follows ( Jamestown Field is Code 4738),

___ Since all of your tracts are in the Red River - Bull Bayou Field, you may want to search for HA D&P Units through the LOC portion of the database. Using the link provided by Keith on the SONRIS Help Center Group page, click on Louisiana Office of Conservation, then click on "Field (Unit) Orders. In the search box under office enter Office of Conservation, under document type enter Field Order Index - Black Books and Under field code enter 7651 for Red River - Bull Bayou Field. Initiate search. You will now be looking at a list of field orders for the RR-BB Field. Start with Order #109-W (1/16/08) and record the docket number for each HA field order to the present. Now go back to the search box and change the document type to Field Order and enter the first docket number (08-17). You will see the same application documents that are contained in the Commissioner's Public Hearing Schedule. Please keep in mind that this search is not conducted using SONRIS Lite, therefore you should use Internet Explorer and download any required plug ins. I hope this makes your search a little easier because this is the only other way that I am aware of to find the units for your tracts. Good Luck.
philpapa. It's Docket #09-1059.
I am so dumb, I thought it referred to 16N R8 W which is in Bienville and the area around me at T16N R8W. Where am I going wrong? By the way, thank you very much for trying to help a dummy.
This J-W Operating unit application is for Bienville Parish, 16N - 9W. Under the hearings listed on Oct. 6, look at the application under Docket #09-1059.

Skip, I think Philpapa is correct about the pre-application being in 16N 8W, sec 29,32 and 33. I am a little confused also, so let me know if I am correct.
Guys. The directions are, as stated, an "excerpt" from the SONRIS Help Center page. All that needs to be done is substitute the Jamestown Field Code for the Red River - Bull Bayou Field code. Sorry for the confusion.
I followed your instructions to the letter. Worked just great. That is till I got the list printed out and found out that Firefox Don't have a plug-in that will allow me to read the actual orders and Explorer is so slow on my machine that it barely keeps me from going nuts. That's the reason I switched to to Firefox to begin with. Would not load GoHS Thanks for the help. After I did it a couple times, it got easy. Never did find out about the confusion about 16N8W. I can only assume the application was never filed, just like you said.
Yeah, I know. I use Firefox for SONRIS Lite but IE, with required plug ins, for the rest of the database. The application was filed and heard. The field order establishing the units just has not been posted to the database yet.
Thanks again. I think I'll shut everything else down and go massage IE again to see if I can get to cooperate.
les my mom has land in sec 29 jamestown field. apparently there is an issue over a gas well head that is already here and was supposed to be redrilled. any info on this section would be appreciated.
meant that last reply for kieth not les sorry wrong group site publisher
Philpapa - Sorry I have to use your respond to reply to Cassie below. Her posts don't have the reply to this button.

Cassie - I pulled up your section on Sonris, if I have understood you correctly your mom's in sec 29 T16N R8W. That section has only 3 wells listed:
Serial #34431 J D SHAW #1 - is Plugged and Abandoned
Serial #155976 BENNIE W JONES #1 - Permit Expired in 1977 can not be drill under this serial number
Serial #164006 WORSHAM A #1 - Plugged and Abandoned as of 06/08/1983

There are no new permits to drill in this section as of yet. Who is telling her they are going to redrill? Landman by chance??

Sorry not Les or Keith :-D
