Bossier Region Map-----Help Us understand where action is occurring

Webster Parish Members are adding a designation to the end of their web names so we can know who is in our area and so we can know where wells are being drilled or leases signed instantly.

I was Har now I am Har C2, this way you know where my interests are and myself and other C2 members can organize.

I have divided Bossier in Regions using Roman numerals.

This way you if someone signs a lease in Region I, then we know instantly. The Township, Section, Range is too hard to follow.

Example If you type III sw (southwest) to your post I know you are near Plain Dealing.

Har C2-

Right on! This is what I have been wanting for several weeks! It is just too hard to keep up with all the townships, ranges and sections. My property is within the city limits of Plain Dealing - so, am I IIIsw? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

God bless you!
Yes you are. Now if everyone does this we can share information.

Township/Sections/Ranges are great to pin point a location but most of us do not have the maps or experience to look this stuff up every time.

This mapping program I have set up will help if everyone uses it.

Every Parish has its own designations so we can get confused.

Thank you for your vision. Spread the word.
I understand what you are trying to accomplish, but I think everyone would be better served just learning the township and range system. It is a much better way of classifying land, you can get down to 1 to 2 acre tracts using the system. As it is, i think some of your roman numeral ranges are WAY too large in scope to have valid comparisons between land owners. For instance, according to your map, someone just north of I-20 would be in the same range as someone just south of Plain Dealing. The differences in thickness in shale between these two areas is likely to be very significant.
I agree that these are large areas, but you can use directions such as north, south, northeast, etc.....

I agree we should know how to use the Township and Range system, but, I do not have a map.

To pin point the location use Township and Range.
I think this system for the average person would be helpful because most of us are not going to have the proper maps available to us.
Sorry about that, I just clicked on the image of Bossier Parish
and found out where to look.................A Big Thank YOU!!!
What does Zone 2 represent?
Thanks
Breeland
Region 2 is in Bienville Parish above Jamestown this should be located in or very near the hot area.
Har C2.....Why not start a thread for each section you have come up with? At least that way each of us won't have to go through all posts....we can use the one that applies to us only. Can't we get this thing a little bit more fine tuned? I, myself, own property in III sw, (T22), Plain Dealing, but live in Texas. This way if I only have to look up Bossier Parish III sw, I can immediately go to my desired location and information site without wading through all the other "stuff" from I se and then North! Then, if I want to, I can go to II nw & n to check to see what's coming (possibly.) Just a suggestion. Praying that ALL of us in the III se, III ne, III nw and III sw will be blessed! Keep spreading the word about the post we rec'd in regards to meeting in Plain Dealing, July 26, 6:00 PM, High School Gym.

Be Blessed Har and all!
IIIsw............where can I locate where the mineral rights are being signed??

They were in the Rocky Mount area over the past three years, but never called
us back. I spoke with someone last week, but he has not gotten back with
me.

I thought north of Benton and Plain Dealing were going too far north??
Thank you,
Breeland
