Looks like Chesapeake got their permit to drill in our section on 9/15.
How long after they get the permit do they usually start the drilling?

It's really hard to say. The rig off of 191 which sits on the north bank of cow bayou went up literally within days of being permitted, but others have been permitted for some time now with no spud date. I guess it depends on if there is a rig available to drill it. Congrats on the permit in your section, should give you something to look forward to.
fox,
I found it on sonris lite.
Went to wells permitted by Parish.
The well serial number is 238702
A permit is good for 6 mos so anytime in there.
does sec-22 and sec-29 have common lines?
Hey Hillbilly----please pardon my typo error. anywhere I put sec 29 should have been sec 27. The south line of sec 22 and the north line of sec 27 are the same line. this is a case of my hands working faster than my brain. sorry
HEY THATS OK , i thought i had a bad map . thanks
Hey Fox,
If this happens and CHK drills two Horizontals, do you think we should hold out on results before we lease. I am in T-11 R-15 also.
Shelby
fox,
thanks for the insight into lease values in the area. i think we will stand-by and keep our ears open.

When you say section 22 and 29 are you still in Desoto or Sabine?
I really don't understand alot about section lines. I live in section 22 about 1/2 mile from Desoto line or are you speaking of another part of Desoto.
Jo Ann-------I am talking about township 11 range 15. section 22 and 29. all of 1115 is located in desoto parish.
every township and range will have a 22 and 29. These are going south on 191 past where 763 hits 191. It is probably 8-9 miles from sabine parish line. Also sec 30 t11 r14 is permitted, and is 2-3 miles closer to you. Each township will have 36 sections located in it. There is a good township map somewhere on this site that will help you to understand it better. They are numbered numerically right to left, then left to right.
Please pardon my mistake. everywhere I put in sec 22 and sec 29 should have been sec 22 and sec 27. My typo mistake. the south line of sec 22 is the same line as the north line of sec 27. sorry Jo Ann and Hunter Hillbilly. Everything else remains the same.
If you look in the photo section of this website somebody put up a grid which shows how the sections are laid out within a township. A section is one square mile and section lines aren't affected by parish boundaries.
